Patterson is seriously underrated here. He could take a punch, he was knocked down often but that was most of the time due to balance issues from his style. He also could be knocked out but how often did that really happen?Baer is a dangerous fighter but Floyd is way now skilled and way faster. In ten fights I think Patterson would decision Baer more often than Baer koing him, like 7-3. Gesendet von meinem LG-H815 mit Tapatalk
i see no reason why post-title floyd cant win this. If hes careful enough the first few rounds and gets settled into things, i see him winning on points
Exactly, you've got one of the hardest hitters in boxing history, who had one of the best chins (never truly KOd), against the lineal HW champ with probably the weakest chin. Baer bounces Patterson off the canvas like Johansson did, and like he himself did to Carnera. This is a one-sided beatdown for as long as it lasts. Baer KO 6
I am shocked that some people are picking Patterson to be honest. You could make a case for Patterson being the greater fighter of the two, but I don't think that he would have a cat in hell's chance of beating Baer.
I think Patterson's speed could save the day. He isn't in a hopeless situation. Now if we were talking abot Patterson vs prime George Foreman, Patterson's chances suffer alot.
Baer might well have hit harder than prime Foreman. That is what we are putting Patterson up against here!
