baer from the carnera fight vs foreman from the first frazier fight. both were huge bombers and great chins.foreman hit little harder, max had a better chin and stamina. this would be a great slugfest. who's gonna get bombed out?
well Baer can take it, and so can Foreman. If Foreman doesn't get him out of there early, he is going to be in trouble. Baer has better stamina, so he might KO him late.
Foreman was 2 years rusty and a bit past prime vs Lyle. ALSO - Lyle has 10lbs of muscle prime-prime compared to Baer, so teh haymakers of Lyle would be more powerful.
vitali has 40-50 pounds more compared to shavers, but shavers is the harder puncher no doubt.size does matter, but so does leverage,technique,speed...
I know... Vitali is 7" taller than Shavers, so he would have more leverage. BUT - Shavers was superhuman - he hit nearly as hard as Foreman! Vitali is a huge banger though.
Both punch equally hard and their chins are equally good. Baer´s a tad better perhaps. Baer also had 20 round stamina while prime Foreman gassed late. Baer also could fight pretty well going back, Foreman not so much. Too many advantages for Max. Baer TKO11 Foreman.
no he's not.he doesn't have one punch power like his brother.he doesn't put his weight behind his punches.
You underrate Foreman. Baer might have had a chin almost as iron as Foreman, BUT - teh only one who has close to the punching-power of Foreman is Shavers. Haymaker Power 1. Foreman 2. Shavers 3. Lewis 4. Tua
Norton, Lyle, Young, Ali and Leroy Caldwell all rated Shavers as the hardest puncher they were ever hit by. If a common opponent of Foreman and Shavers did indeed rate George as the harder puncher of the two, please name him.
This thread from just over a week ago contains some discussion of Max versus George. (I make my case for Max on page two, in posts #17 and #28): http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=245357
