    I was there when 226lbs Jennings momentarily wobbled Joyce.
    He got stopped by Joe Louis and Lou Nova twice, in his75th and 80th fights,the 1st Nova stoppage was on bad cuts.

    Yeah, those are the ones. I'd be confident on putting money on Joyce doing the same thing.

    To be fair the doctor told Baer he is absolutely advised against fighting Louis due to crippled hands (broken and chips of bones relocated if I remember correctly.) Max had to take the fight due to financial reason. Surviving this many rounds against a fighter of Louis' hand speed, accuracy, punching power, and skill at putting punches together? It's still a testament to his chin.

    He also could have gotten up against Louis but it was a hopeless affair
