This content is protected I was expecting to see a wild exhibition. As usual, I didn't see one. Round 1 looked to me in the latter half like Baer got frustrated with how seriously Levinsky was treating the match. My only surmise, is, as I said, that Baer didn't like how serious Levinsky was about the exhibition, came out in the second ready to get revenge. He soon landed a booming right hand that essentially ended the fight. Levinsky didn't go down immediately, but that was the punch that did it. Baer landed several other wild punches, all of which landed, and put Levinsky out, on his back. Any education on this exhibition would be very welcome.
It seems to have been Levinsky beckoning to Baer at the start of the second round that made things get serious. As Baer put it: "I was willing to go along and make a nice lively show out of it. But when the poor old Kingfish asked ME - the champion - to come on and fight, I had to let him have it."
Good film to watch. What I would note is that this is the most impressive Baer KO on film. Carnera, Schmeling, Galento, and Comiskey finish on their feet. Foord takes a long pounding before going down for the count. Baer just blows Levinsky out here with one flurry. I think you are right that the right probably finished the Kingfish. His back was to the camera but he looked out on his feet. The following left hook put him down. An impressive display of power.
