No he didn't have a better chin than Oliver McCall, and guess what, he didn't have a better chin than Baer either. Or a lot of heavyweight champions for that matter! On that point we must agree!
Yeah, me too. Rahman managed to load up and put his body weight behind it, while hitting Lewis's jaw clean. That shot put anyone down. And even if they get up, they will be dizzy.
Yeah, I know he was a hard puncher. But you're the first to say Baer's punching power has been mythologised, when actually it is based on results AND the type of testimony that you now see fit cite in Butler's defense. I disagree. He might have tried a few more (usually ineffective) 'showy' moves. That seems to pass for "skill" to some of you guys here. Galento was an ugly mauler, which is a ringcraft of its own. Anyway, my point was about Butler's comical lack of stamina / fitness.
Baer faced big men in one fourth of his career, are you going to tell me that he was never hit witch perfectly placed punches by them? If so, he had to have better defense than you all give him credit for!
Lewis would win this rather easily, though he'd have to be aware of Baer's power punches. He wouldn't stop him early though, Max had too good chin to be stopped early.
