    I always remember this is a classic instance of the far better boxer just getting overpowered by the bigger rough and tumbler.

    It's got nothing on the forgotten gem, Buddy Baer vs. Buddy Schmeling.

    Seriously, this is probably on the top five matches to travel back in time and see at one of the legendary ballparks (obviously most of the best were at Ruth's house, but at least one spot would be reserved for the experience of soaking in the sweet science and cigar smoke at venerable Fenway).

    I have the ESPN tape of "Baer-Schmeling." Classic fight.. Baer just too powerful in that encounter... Schmeling stopped on his feet inside 10 rds...
