Max Baer Vs Rocky Marciano.

Marciano's dedication to training and Max's lack thereof would be the real story. A tireless, relentless Rocky would wear down madcap Maxie.

 

rugged fight with Max able to mix a bit and land some solid shots along the way but a battle of attrition with Max wearing down about the 8-9-10th rd and the RSC

 

baer by tko , with the rule 3 knock downs baer wil win FOR SURE. he had a hell of right hand and marciano would be an easy target coming direct for him.

 

in a serie probably the better trained marciano would find the way to win more times than not, but at their best nights baer stops rocky, he was the bigger man and the harder puncher with longer reach and stylistical advantage

 

I like Marciano. I think a much better defense will be the key. Baer will be taking a lot of overhand rights with his wide-open defense. I think Marciano just wears him down. Marciano's shortness and crouch would, I think, negate Baer's overhand right.

 

Marciano didn't have the word quit in him. I'd have to make him a substantial favorite to survive the first four rounds and take over, winning a decision.

 

neither did frazier and still he got stopped... i don´t think that rocky would leave the fight, just would get stopped at least once

 

Marciano would beat Max

 

I think Marciano is quite a better boxer. He was just so in the pocket with his own style and abilities. Max flailed about gamely but was just a mess. He stops Max late.

 

I agree with Seamus. Although no fancy dan by a long shot, Rocky was a better boxer than Max. Give Max a good consistent jab to keep Marciano at bay while landing his right and he could win this, but he doesn't so I see Rocky taking it.

 

Max could hit like hell...so could The Rock. Marciano was dedicated to training...no matter if it was a tomato can...or a top contender...he was in top shape...Maxie wasn't as dedicated...I see Marciano taking this...

 

If the Baer who fought Schmeling shows it it could be a hell of a fight as he was much bigger, likely stronger and as hard a hitter , however Max clearly did not have Rocky's dedication or focus so likely Rocky outworks him for a decision .. an interesting fight though ..
