max wins by ko in the 6th/7th or 8th round. he lands a lot of powerful rights on lyle. i believe max is stronger a bit quiker and has the better boxin capacities
An in shape and serious Max Baer would stop Ron Lyle in the middle rounds, but he might have to get off the floor to do it...in my opinion.
This is probably something like Foreman-Lyle, with both men hitting the canvas in a slug-fest. But Baer's superior chin and power would be the difference here, as it was for George Foreman. Baer KO 6
A lot of people are picking Baer here, and for all I know it may be well warranted. I do not however feel that its a forgone conclusion.....In fact, Lyle might win. Ron could take a punch, give a punch, and box when he had to. He was a good sized heavyweight at 6'3", 220 lbs, and rose off the canvas to beat Earnie Shavers as well as to give Foreman the fight of his career.
Ron Lyle fought the bigger and better opponents. His power knocked down Foreman a fighter who has one of the best chins in boxing history. Who did Max Baer knock down or out who was as good as Foreman? Ron Lyle would blow Baer away.
Ron would have to stick in move. Max would continue to throw punches until he couldn't do it anymore. Max fought like a street fighter.
Absolutely. Lyle is not a fighter that anybody should take lightly. If Baer dosn't give it 100% (which he often didn't) he is going to get his head handed to him.
Lyle rose off the canvas to beat Shavers, and gave Foreman the fight of his life when both were in their primes. Somehow I don't think that Baer is just going to go in there and blast him out.
i think ronnie nails baer with a few shots but maxie shakes it off and blows ronnie out with a major right hand
Foreman and Shavers both nailed Lyle with " major right hands ". One of them ended up getting decked twice and nearly KO'd, while the other was KO'd.
