Max Baer vs Wladimir Klitschko (old Boxing rules 1930)

Baer ran hot and cold but on a good night was a dangerous opponent for anyone

Vlad should be able to control the fight jabbing powerfully and land some rockets as the fight goes on causing the ref to jump in or win comfortably

 

Wlad would destroy him in the fashion Louis did. If you can't spot the differences between Carnera and Wlad, time to follow another sport.

 

Wlad is three and half inches taller than Baer 25 pounds heavier, hits as hard, takes the sport far more seriously both inside the ring and staying in shape outside the ring. Total mismatch, Wlad's jab has Baer's head looking like an old dirty basketball by round 3.

I would imagine a fighter that gets knocked down 3 times in a fight and comes back to win is the epitome of "heart".

Someone that hasn't been knocked down in almost 10 years while facing top ranked competition probably has a decent chin.

 

Carnera was better than Wladimir.

Baer would kill Wladmir.
Tougher man, tougher era.

 

If Baer was black, I would favor him.

 

Wlad is easily winning until Baer connects.....


Wlad is an unbelievable fighter, extraordinary ATG. Very textbook... Max, when serious is much like Wlad, with more power and less skills.... I see Max landing and finishing Wlad in the Mid rounds.

Just on pure luck, and because I like Max.

 

Max Baer does NOT hit harder than Wladimir Klitschko.

 

Why would you say that? Max, killed men... When was the last time Wlad even sent someone to the hospital?

Wlad has massive power, but I think Max has the edge.

 

wlad has more weight so has more potential to hit harder.

but hes simply not as good a puncher as baer. baer killed men in the ring, he was feard for his power.

wlad is, in contrast, afraid of power of shot2shyte retirees, because that is enough to destroy him in seconds. So no universe in the multiverse that wlad grows the bals to get in the ring with baer.

 

We have to favor Wlad here, because he was just a level above, in terms of consistency.

I still think that Baer would be a dangerous opponent for him, and he would make it an exciting fight.

Lets say that Wlad climbs off the canvas to win here.

 

Max killed a 182lb man after slugging him with several blows while Campbell was trapped on the ropes.

1. Wlad never fought anyone below 207lb
2. If Wlad ever fought an average 182lb fighter wlad would knock him out with the first punch he lands
3. Better reffiing in 2015 prevents Wlad from killing anyone. That 1931 match the ref allowed Baer to hit Campbell repeatedly while Campbell was trapped on the ropes.
4. If Wlad hit Campbell as many times as Baer did..Wlad would kill him too

5. Emanuel Steward said Wlad is the hardest hitter he as ever seen. Harder hitter than Lennox Lewis
6. Wlad knocked out much bigger, stronger, more durable, and better fighters than Baer did. Bears best knockout his Schmeling...whom he hit with 100 right hands in round 10 and still couldn't keep Schmeling down.

Wlad puts all his 250lb behind every punch..he hits big strong 240lb men and they drop like they have been shot with an elephant gun. He puts there lights out too...brutal one punch power in either hand
