Max Baer would beat all of prime Liston's resume

I do get what you are trying to say, I just disagree with your definition of one dimensional.
By applying your definition, there are only a handful of boxers that are multidimensional, cause very few can do all in boxing: box from distance, come forward and pressure, slug it out, counter punch etc.

 

No-one is talking doing "all". Tyson was strictly a come forward fighter. He absolutely could not fight off the back foot regardless of whether he could both lead and counter while on that front foot.

As i said he was very skillful and quite overwhelming within his own style but for me it's one dimensional and i am sure most will agree.

Guys like Liston, Holmes, Lewis and others could fight quite well both ways. Lewis and Liston were bonafide boxer/punchers and while Holmes didn't quite have the punch to be labelled as such he could most certainly get aggressive and fight very well if the occasion called for it.
