And yet Max Schmeling, a pre Louis champion, knocked Louis out.

Williams record against guys you heard of is 4-11-1. he suffered two knockdowns against Satterfeild. Four knock downs against Foster. Four knockdowns against Liston. Three knockdowns against Ali. Two knockdowns against Al Jones. That’s 12 times he was hammered to the canvas against the best 13 men he fought.

    1. Only about four of those knockdowns were anywhere near his prime. 2 were when he was extremely green, and 6 when he was literally shot.

    2. If he stayed down against Satterfield, Foster, Liston, Ali, and Jones after the first knockdown, he would've only had 5 knockdowns. Would you then rate his durability better just because he had 7 less knockdowns?

    3. If you've never heard of Roger Rischer (who knocked out Cooper), John Holman (who participated in the tournament for Rocky's title), etc.. You know even less about boxing than I gave you credit for.

I highly highly doubt Roy Harris has a prayer with that chin. I'd favor Machen, Patterson, maybe Williams.

I don't know what the original poster thinks, but

"the addition of black fighters to the talent pool means that there are more skilled guys around"

Is how I look at it. You were tapping a tremendous talent pool which had largely been fenced out since Johnson.

From Joe Louis to Evander Holyfield that talent pool would almost totally dominate the heavyweight championship for the rest of the century.

yes Brian London knocked Rischer out with the very first punch of the first round. 15 second win including the count.

Roger also lost to Williams and Liston. But not that quickly.

no Roger did not kayo Henry Cooper. That’s a lie.

None of which has anything to do whit what I said. You implied you didn't know who Rischer or Holman were with this statement "Williams record against guys you heard of is 4-11-1." You're either lying or dksab. Which one is it?

He failed to make it to the halfway mark of the third round against both opponents. That's pretty damn quick.
Unlike you, I don't lie. I was mistaken. I remember Rischer flooring Cooper a couple times and having far more success than he could've even dreamed of against Williams.

Comiskey knocked over a load of cabbages.
If you think Carnera was a puncher we have nothing to talk about.
De Kuh stopped the same set ups Carnera did and was kod in1 rd by Mickey Walker. Hankinson had been kod in his last 4 fights.
You've named a load of journeymen and a fighter whose career was built on fake fights.
None of them are ever spoken of in greatest puncher lists.

So he's a perfect comparison to Williams.
I don't, I just show how misleading KO% can be.
I included HW champion who was a better fighter than Williams. Rest was nothing special, Williams wasn't anything special either. To his credit, he was better than Pat or Hankinson, but not by much

You can do it on your own. Post all ranked fighters Williams stopped as well, I'm sure it's very deep list, right?
You do all the time, from different accounts.
