Folley might have done better if he hadn't been 36 years old and seriously sliding. He was 10lbs heavier than he had been for Ali a few months earlier.

Williams beats him, Machen beats him.
    Perhaps Patterson too.

Any knockdown he suffered after getting shot is not relevant whatsoever

Patterson was far better than any fighter Baer beat and faster he also had a better left hook than Baer and would have beaten him pretty easily.

    Who says it doesn't ?!
It applies to anyone who was severaly damaged and affected by it, like Williams was.

London beat an ancient Folley in 1968

Machen easily beat London when they were in there prime and Folley would have too

    1. Cooper faced a green Ali. Williams and London faced the best version.

    2. Williams was LITERALLY shot when he faced Ali and Ali himself said "their isn't much left is their" and stated he would've wanted to face a peak Williams.

    3. Who did better between Williams and London against their other two common opponents; Machen and Richardson? Williams or London?

Also untrue. He did face a lot of obscure names early in his career but that's because he had no amateur career whatsoever, and wanted to take it slow. Please name these 70 fighters who were "no name losers"?

Also you didn't answer my original question? Did you seriously not know who the likes of John Holman, Curly Lee, or Roger Rischer were prior to facing Williams? If so, you're truly pathetic and dksab.

Sonny fought the same guy and lost. Ali was calling out Patterson before he lost to Sonny. Young Ali stopped Billy Daniels, Archie Moore, Lavorante and Alex Miteff BEFORE fighting Cooper. Ali also won fight of the year against Doug Jones. I think all those guys were rated. How green can anyone be after beating so many contenders?

Williams and London were also admittedly past their best when they fought Ali. Karl mildenburger did better than either of them because he was in his prime. Cooper, Folley, Williams, Patterson and London were really the earlier generation of fighters. Jones, Terrell and mildenburger were really the same generation as Ali. And they did better.

I know who they are BECAUSE Williams fought them. They were second stringers really. Holman was hot and cold. Rischer a spoiler. Curley Lee..I know he had a fair record but he’s the kind of guy carmine vingo was. He got hurt in the ring and retired before anyone really knew.

it’s kind of clutching at straws adding these kinds of opponents. Fair to decent. If that.
