After being stopped brutally so many times I think Reem should consider retirement even though I love ubereem. Wealth can't buy health

Except that he obliterated a top HW? Ok...

Yeah and???a guy who while very good has been KO'd countless times. Still a lot of unanswered questions about Ngannou... What's his own chin like? What's his stamina like if made to work and taken late? Assuming he doesn't just blast Miocic out in a round or 2, there's no telling what will happen. He might be the real deal... Or he's just a hard punching HW with some physical attributes who came along at the right time(HW division is full of old guys with a lot of miles and is almost completely devoid of fresh talent)

Great fight between Alverez and Gagey. Pure roman gladiator type stuff.

Overreem stiffened out something brutal , toes curled up like a pigs tail.

Aldo should hang em up after that vicious battering. Holloway isn't as pleasing to watch as Aldo was but he knows what he's doing. Loved those rips to the body of Aldo. Once his legs went he was a sitting duck. Too small to stand and trade with the rangier Holloway.

    Good card overall. 8/10

Old Aldo won't. Younger Aldo would probably bank the first three rounds, and survive the distance. Aldo's horrible cardio is what has done him in against Holloway. He isn't even getting KO'd, he's just been totally exhausted, and unable to properly defend himself anymore.

Cejudo won in a very boring fashion. Pettis nullified his offense on the ground, which made it look like mostly three rounds of lay and pray.

Alvarez's fight was a good fight. Good old Gatti Ward type brawl, minimal defense, gassed fighters eating flush shots. Entertaining stufff.

LOL at the Ngannou hype hate, that division is so desperate for new blood how can you blame them for hyping a young exciting fighter like that who now has beaten top 5 fighter and has justified it so far. Miocic is a different beast intirely and I would have liked to see Ngannou 1 more time before he gets that title shot but unfortunately with Velasquez forever being injured there isn't a lot of options other then Werdum again

On second thought, easy was too strong a word, but a younger Aldo would easily bank the first three rounds against Holloway, then just survive the onslaught. Looking at the first fight, Holloway wasn't the better fighter, he just had better cardio. Aldo losing last night after taking the fight three weeks out was expected. People are acting like that was the best Aldo though, because he threw some leg kicks. He was gassing in the first round.

    It's hard to say.

Obviously we all know exactly what Aldo is capable of, we don't know what Holloway is capable of yet.

Look how dominant Cody was but he lost in his first defence so it's very hard to predict.

a bit different considering the run Holloway has gone on... He's just about cleared out the division apart from Edgar.

Easily? He barely managed to survive against Hominick late in fight.... Holloway is a problem for any version of Aldo, he never faced anyone like him in his prime. Not that he couldn't get the job done, but it would have to be the perfect performance. More often than not Holloway gets him out of there late.

Obviously Aldo at 31 wasn't at his peak but considering he only recently beat the always tough Edgar with ease, the way Holloway has beaten Aldo twice now can't be dismissed as being due to Aldos gas tank and not being as good .Í won't say Aldo wouldn't have a chance but there isn't any version of Aldo that would easily beat Holloway who at only 26 seems to keep getting better and could end up taking Aldos mantle as the best Featherweight of all time if he keeps going the way he is.

I don't buy the "Aldo was shot that's why Holloway beat him." crap.... He put on a great performance in the 2nd Edgar fight, so if he faded it was only marginally. Not enough to where the difference a prime Aldo vs. prime Holloway would be an altogether different result.

Not really that different though. If Max loses his next fight, let's say to Edgar, or Mendes, or in a rematch with Swanson, suddenly he isn't a shoe in to be FW goat.
He's very young and very early in his reign.

Anything can happen next, we know how great Aldo is, we don't know how great this 25 year old champion is.

Love him or hate him, after last nights fights I think Conors resume looks even better after impressive wins by Alvarez and Holloway.Conor easily beat both with the Holloway win coming despite doing his ACL during the fight and while that fight was back in 2013 and Holloway has improved,I believe Conor has improved just as much. I hope we eventually see a rematch but think it might be a while and it will probably be at Lightweight after Holloway takes care of business at Featherweight against Edgar etc.
