Well, I think so other than Pacquiao-De La Hoya who are the two biggest draws in the sport. While that may draw $$$, Cotto-Margarito will draw even the casual boxing fan to bring back attention to boxing in general. This should be the "buzz" we fight fans have been longing for no matter the outcome.
probably so. cotto mayweather, but i guess the latter is "retired." Pavlik/Calzaghe would have to be in the running too, but wouldnt be as hard-hitting. margarito/cotto is gonna be BRUTAL.
Its one of them thats for sure, I could hardly wait is going to be a war thats for sure. Maybe the one that could possibly make someone a fan of the sport.
Naw its Cotto-Mayweather for me....With Mayweather-Cotto you are getting the two best welterweights and quite possibly the two best fighters in the world going head to head
in terms of a slug fest...possibly you could make an argument for diaz & katsidas but both of them have no p4p ranking so...
I like how Max said he wouldn't want to be Cotto on the night Margarito officially arrives in boxing. I wonder if that means AM will be the champion. For all the hunger and determination Margarito has in him, I think Cotto matches him on his desire to remain champion and then some. Heck, whereas AM carries the glory of Mexico, Cotto has the pride of Puerto Rico. Something has to give here.
