Of course not. But because Max is a pretty boy who never fought, some people will never like him no matter what he does. I was actually kind of shocked at how honest and straightforward he was with Ortiz. But that's what fans like to see.
True I didn't like him at all at first but I think he's gearing up to be a very good replacement for Larry.
If he hadn't of asked these questions he'd have been criticised as well....I guess he just can't win!!!!
i did not care for kellerman at first, but he is starting to grow on me. what he did last night is what he is supposed to do, ask the hard question. and unlike that dick jim gray, he asked it in a respectful manner. i as well as many others would be pissed off and crucifying him if he did not ask that question. so i guess he is damned if he did damned if he did not.
Yea max is a dickhead buh commentators do that on purpose becuase for some freakish reason there arrogance makes viewers like them and want to see there interviews. larry merchant was also a ******* at critising in his prime lool. oh and whats this about getting his brother hammered to death? wah happened?
His brother died in a fire started by former boxer who is doing life. I did not know about the hammer part. I am going to look it up now. I do remember the fighter. He sucker punched another fighter named Grant I believe. The fight was over and both fighters had their gloves removed and Grant went over to hug the other fighter and the fighter sucker punched him into unconsciousness. He did time for assault and battery for that punch. Piece of **** of a human being.
Kellerman expressed what many fans were thinking last night (including myself) nothing wrong with that. He was pointing out that to be great in this sport you have to do more than what Ortiz did last night. Kellerman was asking him the questions that any true boxing fan would've asked him if they had the opportunity. That is his job.
Max Kellerman defended a boxer named James Butler who sucker punched another boxer on ESPN friday night fights, which Kellerman used to co-host. He said it was no big deal as Max is a wanna-be rapper and was trying to come off as hard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BI3D7h5yxOs Turns out that Butler was a "friend" of the Kellerman's and wound up living with Max's brother Sam in L.A. and wound up killing him with a hammer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Butler_(boxer) Max is a low-iq, self important loud mouth. Pisses me off. But he gets paid to be obnoxious, unfortunately bad Kharma came his way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uA8hcv1MzA
Kellerman has the amazing ability to make even the most soundest of truths sound like a load of patronising bollocks
I think Max has every right to say what he said last night. If I remember it was not long ago that alot of people on this web site were saying the same things about miguel cotto when he fought Cheatarito. People all over where questioning Cotto's desire & heart ,when now we know he was not fighting on an even playing field. The point is the same people who are here bashing Max who in my opinion is a really good straight forward & blunt analyst, are the same people who do the same thing in other fighters fights. You cant have it both ways people, its his job as a commentator to ask these tough questions & give his opinion.
