    The life of Max Kellerman has been a tough one indeed. He had to make his way up in the boxing hierarchy the hard way -- through hard work and dedication. Through his witty comments to his ability to captivate audiences of all ages, Max has come a long way from the brash teenager who was known for his television show "Max on Boxing".

    Max was born on August 21, 1972 and his talents were immediately noticed as he enrolled in Hunter High School, one of the most prestigious schools in the country. He would go on to attend Columbia University and receive a BA in history. Upon graduation, he sent an application to ESPN in hopes of getting a job as a co-host for Friday Night Fights. The worldwide leader in sports was impressed with the charisma and knowledge of the young man and so he was hired.

    Since then, Max would host shows like Around the Horn and I, Max as well as land a commentary role on both HBO World Championship Boxing and Boxing After Dark. He recently welcomed into this world a daughter, young Esther Kellerman. The sky's the limit for Max, and here's to the future of boxing, Max Kellerman, who is often imitated but never duplicated.

    I told Max, live on the air, that Klitschkos were the very best heavyweights in the world. He used to be a well known Klitschko hater when he was on ESPN, Teddy Atlas still is. However, I like Max, he is a nice person.

    That's just his charisma.

    He's not like the senile Merchant, who couldn't carry Max's jockstrap.

    :good

    What a bunch of bull****!! Came up the hard way? :rofl :rofl :rofl

    ALONE among boxing commentators, Kellerman paid NO dues before his family's connections got him his job with ESPN. Never worked as a boxing journalist, never was a participant, all he had was some dumb cable access show. And now Kellerman continues to plague boxing with his inanity on HBO.

    Shows what having a rich New York family wil do! The sooner HBO dumps this clown, the better for the sport.

    It so appears that's the way he got him job on ESPN, but he was nice to me, even when I yelled at him. LOL!

    HBO hired Max for a reason -- because Max not only appeals to the older boxing fans in America, but his charisma and "Generation X" mentality lures in the younger demographic viewers as well.

    That's why he was signed to the most prominent boxing network in the world and placed in a role where he will inevitably flourish for the next few decades. Like it or not, Max is here to stay.

    :lol::lol::lol: word i didn't know that i didn't know he had a rich family.

    Max Kellerman use to be a rapper. Could be the reason he sounds like he's yelling all the time.

    Go figure

    A lot of "new age" personalities yell when they speak. It's something that a lot of younger guys think covers as "Intensity".

    Actually Max came up the hard way. He had to work for everything that he's got. His success is a testament to his dedication to his craft.
