Take in consideration Cubans are professionals, the only difference between Cubans and fighters in the states is Cubans don't get paid for fighting. So I have to say Stevenson is the best ever.

 

What's moronic is that you assumed I was referring to exiled fighters. Get a grip. Assumption is the mother of all **** ups.

acd the key word in that statement is "potential" ... he has the potential to do great things ... I think that his level of respect for his opposition has got to him yet ... I think that he's overwhelmed with confidence and only way he's going to change is if he gets rocked or knocked out.

Guys have to remember he's still in amateur mode ... so its going to take longer than expected for him to adjust to his pro style ... if he fought a hard headed - relentless guy then i'm sure its going to show him something he didn't know about himself.

acb ... I think that Gamboa has to learn how to respect his opponents no matter who it is, because one thing that is for cetain when you're fighting is that you're going to get hit - no matter who it is against, and no matter the power a clean shot could put an end to your moment.

Gamboa showed many things last night besides his inability to keep his hands up ... he showed good movement, the ability to dodge a punch (but he needs to learn how to block too) speed, accurracy, and a relentless mentality along with controlled aggression.

In addition to him dropping his hands - he also bring his shots from underneath ... thats a no no ... he has to shoot them from the shoulders to get the most effect from them ... if he didn't shoot from underneath ... he wouldve got Jimenez out of there.
