Erik Morales was struggling with weight, and was already far removed from his prime the time their first fight came. Like I have stated, I credit Pacquiao with the wins, but he did not beat a prime Morales, who was at his best. On that basis, along with Morales stellar resume, and his victory over prime Pacquiao, I feel he should be rated high on the all-time standings. If you disagree, that is fine, but don't try and make out that every opinion of mine is wrong. The only thing the Pacquiao-Morales fights proved were that Morales was finished. The Diaz fight cemented this notion, a fighter he would have walked all over in his prime.

I also think JMM is a great fighter but in the end it is true that a draw against Pacquiao is his greatest achievement.

When Barrera lost to JMM and Pac the 2nd time he was a shot fighter. And JMM even struggled a little which was surprising to me. Some people (not me) even felt Barrera deserved the win against Marquez. Pacquiao beat MAB easily both times.

I think JMM is a great fighter but not as great as Pac, MAB, and Morales

i am making a point that if you would take away pacquiao in jmm's list of opponents, his list of opponents would look exactly like that of hamed. very good but not great. le's make this clear. why would i not want marquez to be included in pac's resume. pac is 1-1-0 vs. juan manuel marquez. marquez is 0-1-1 vs. manny pacquiao. also, pacquiao fighting "the avoided" marquez is a testament that pac doesn't pick opponents. if not for pac giving marquez a break, he would be in the same boat now as with joan guzman.

in reality, marquez current status is based on his draw and SD loss to pacquiao. if pacquiao is a nobody, marquez would not be rated as highly as he is now. the truth is, marquez draw with pacquiao is his best accomplishment in his career than any of his victory.

Absolutely, getting off the canvas three times in the first round and with a broken nose, going on to school one of the better kick ass fighters in boxing is a monumental achievement.:deal

Agree..but not the schooling part. making it hard to for the kick ass fighter to beat him is indeed a monumental achievement.

Marquez/Paquiao 1 was real close a draw is fair but the 2nd fight i had it Marquez 7 Paq 2 and 3 even. and even if you give Paq the even rounds Marquez still wins.

I haven't seen the other fights but i thought he clearly won both fights against Pacquiao, i have never liked Pac because of this.

God man, let it go. Damn you must've hated Roy Jones when he was on top. Are you going to randomly mention him even when he is long retired from the sport for years?
