The fights with pac are a matter of perspective. He may outlanded pac in the rematch according to the compubox but it's only on the rounds where jmm won imo.The rounds are 6-6 for me imo. That being the case means pac wins due to the kd he delivered at rnd3. Nobody really schooled nobody. Plus the judges have perceptions that the camera angle can't give.
I have to agree on the john fight jmm should have won it. On the mab fight: mab it should be close. No way jmm out schooled mab that badly imo..On the norwood fight i haven't seen it.
Jmm is a great boxer, the best counter puncher this generation has to offer. As a pacfan it is a good feeling that pac faced him. But to say jmm is somewhat undefeated is beyond me. Leave the ghost behind coz once you stir it again you would get pissed on arguments that would be aginst your arguments, especially of those 2 pac fights: it's really a matter of opinion....

This is a six feet below the ground topic. Some cannot move on because they allowed themselves to be burried in the same ditch. Whats the purpose of this **** when we all know that boxing is in the hand of 4 person, 1 ref and 3 judges. This is not a kind of civil case that they may be robbed in the trial today, can still seek justice tomorrow. When Pac was robbed in his 1st fight due to an admitted error in scorecard, Pac's only word was : " I didnt know that my sock is one big factor in this fight"

If JMM wants to be remembered in the history, he should move on and expertly craft his future plans. Regain his name and prove to himself that he still a strong contender for pac.

I made my careful reading bro dont worry. The TS wants our idea on how shall we treat JMM's L and D ledgers in the history. We'll to me thats an official record, only he who can change it.

    Cool.:good

I find it odd that you agree with every offical verdict. Most boxing fans have decisions they dispute and that is always considered in how they rank or judge a fighters career.

A win is a win bro, and that will be officially engraved in history book. Only historians and soon-to-be analysyts and experts will remember his name. His remarkable fight moments will be overshadowed by a more great fights that is worth remembering. And I hope his remaining fights will gain more glory to give him a worthful boxing stories to be shared by the future generation.

both fights were close. the jmm-pac series will go down in history similar to hagler - leonard, trinidad - de la hoya et al....... many arguments will be made for either guy winning.

I'm pretty sure that when all is said and done, when JMM hangs it all up, he'll be remembered as one of the great fighters our generation has to offer. He may not be seen in the same light as MAB and EM, but I think he's gonna be pretty close to them in stature by the time his career ends. He still has a number of future matches down the road which may enhance his legacy and seal his place as an ATG. Not to mention that the people who'll remember Pac 10-20 years from now, when those people look back and see how great Pac was, they'll surely stumble upon a great fighter who gave Pac everything he can handle and they'll know who JMM was and how great he also was.

I also don't think that just because JMM has a "boring" style that he won't be remembered that much in the future. There are alot of ATGs in the past whose style are not particularly fan-friendly but they are still remembered to this day. Sweet Pea Whitaker comes to mind.

JMM is the greatest featherweight of his generation, of that you can gladly quote me!As for how JMM will be remembered 20 years down the line...........this is the digital age where there is easy fight access to almost everyone that wants to watch them......20 years down the line it will be even easier access. There will always be debate, but through videotape, I think JMM will be remembered fondly by true boxing historians, and to me thats what matters.Thank God for the videotape, because 20 years and beyond down the line, without any rooting interest or hyping of a fighter, a boxing historian will sit and watch the JMM-Pac fights, and judge for himself!......truly and honestly, as a JMM fan, that brings a smile to my face!
.....and selfkill, great job of brushing off guys like Psycho, Silvermags, and a few others, who are not really in the thread to discuss the issue......these guys want to dismiss the topic as "move on"......and you're exactly right, they should move on to another thread if discussing this issue is not their forte! lol

The word MOVE on was used coz its been over half a year and you are still saying that jmm WON!

It's like having a death in the family. You can't say that yes, if he is still alive today..it could have been.. would have been... get my drift?

It has already happened. The records are already made. Now, If you like to refresh yourself everyday on the two fights, be my guest.

The way, you are thinking and taking about the fight, as if you are a brother of JMM that can't move on.

If you want to refresh youself on the fight, be my guest. We are already looking forward to PAC's fight in Dec while you are still :| about the JMM vs PAC fight which happened ages ago..

Since moving on is not in anyway part of your way of thinking please be my guest to post or start a thread everyday if you wish.

I'm not saying I'm going to answer them all but if you talk about the same thing trying to say JMM won etc etc it getting to be :tired :dead .

If you would not be moving ON do you mean you want to talk about it FOREVER?! :huh

But I do understand why you can't MOVE ON buddy! A Win over PAC could have been his ticket to SUPER STARDOM! It could have added glitter to JMM's resume. Just probably we are talking about ODLH vd JMM...it could have been JMM who beat up David Diaz. .. JMM could have been the executioner of the so call mexicutioner ..... Pac could have been the one begging for a fight not the other way around...
JMM could have been the one in the Nike commercial together with the top athletes of the world in their respective sports..

Lets just say some things aren't ment to be!
