Yeah sure. Kellerman never worked as journalist before going on ESPN, and the supposed journalistic credentials you tout for him are suspect to say the least. Did he ever write for The Ring, like Farhood did, or work as a boxing writer for a major daily paper like Bernstein?? Did he ever train fighters, like Gil Clancy?? All these guys worked for YEARS to acquire experience in the sport. That's how you get SEASONING and KNOWLEDGE about the game. Cayton plucked Kellerman from obscurity when all his "experience" was a silly cable access show. And boy, does it show!
You can spew as much hate as you want, Zakman, but it is inevitable that Kellerman will remain on HBO for at least the next 30 years. So you can continue to hold a grudge against him for the next 3 decades or you can learn to appreciate his skills as a commentator. Max is, and will continue to be the face of HBO boxing.
Who the hell are you, that unqualified punk's publicist or something?atsch You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, buddy. Your guy sucks and most boxing fans know it. They'll dump his ass next contract if they have any sense. Guess you'll be out of a job when that happens, huh?:hey
Most boxing fans love Max's charisma and his intriguing perspectives in boxing. There's a reason he was hired by HBO as the successor of Larry Merchant. Larry couldn't carry Max's spit bucket.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl How much do you get paid to post this ****?? When Kellerman gets canned by HBO, I hope you've got your resume ready!
I already told you, Ross Greenberg hired Max with the intentions of him being the face of HBO commentating for the next few decades. So get used to him, buddy. He isn't leaving for a while.
Yeah, that's what you're hoping, I'm sure. Knowledgeable boxing fans are hoping otherwise, however. We remember when commentators knew something about the sport, when they were properly experienced and seasoned.
It won't be long at all before Ross Greenburg has to issue a public statment saying something like "I did not, did NOT sleep with that commentator. In fact, I was UP! ALL! NIIIIGHT!!!111ONE"
Max Kellerman has the charisma, intelligence, and boxing knowledge to surpass guys like Cosell, Dunphy, Lampley, and Farhood as the greatest boxing commentator in history. And he's only in his mid-30's.
Here's a converstion I'd love to see happen: Kellerman: So, Kelly, why didn't you fight Paul Williams when that match-up was being talked about. Kelly Pavlik: Max, before I answer that, let me asked you a question. How did an ******* with ears like yours ever get on TV?
:rofl:rofl:rofl Kelly Pavlik continues: Shouldn't you & Sam be working on your next album or something!
Kellerman was really disrespectful to Pav after the Lockett fight. I was surprised Kelly kept his cool. I doubt if I would have.
