:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl You are pathetic. That punk doesn't have as much knowledge as Lampley, and that's saying something. Merchant or Bernstein?? Puh-leez!!atsch How much does Kellerman pay you to spew this tripe??
Rui, you won't change the guys mind lol. Find another thread to post in...keep it moving lol. Look at what this...just wrote lol!
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Oh, yeah, it was pretty hard for that twerp to get that silly cable access show his rich daddy hooked him up with, or that interview with Cayton! The good commentators actually had to work their way up - guys like Gil Clancy, who's probably forgotten more about boxing than Kellerman will ever know. Or Bernstein, or Farhood. Guys who covered the sport for YEARS before being put on TV. You can't make a silk purse out of sow's ear, however much you shill. I've followed this sport for 30 years, and Kellerman is - HANDS DOWN - the worst commentator I've ever seen. It is a DISGRACE that HBO puts this unqualified clown on the air!
Also, the rating for ESPN's Friday Night Fights went up 20% AFTER that joke Kellerman left for Fox Sports where he quickly ran their Boxing coverage in the ground so bad he was released from his contract. People seem to conviently forget that when discussing Kellerman. Kellerman is a damn joke.
For the record, I actually liked Max on FNF. But his blow by blow is awkward as all ****, and his pseudo-Merchant impression remains painful. Right now all he should be doing is Lampley's host job on PPVs, and maybe some interviews. It's obvious having him do BAD is on the job training.
Max Kellerman isnt just the worst commentator in boxing, he's the worst commentator. He's just a suit that recycles facts that he's revised before hand on the show. HBO deciding to expand his role on WCB was one of the worst decisions they've made and has probably contributed to their falling boxing viewing figures.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Like a famous boxing journalist - someone who actually KNOWS something about the sport because he paid his dues COVERING it - said, "replacing Larry Merchant with Max Kellerman is like replacing Picasso with the guy who does Elvis paintings outside Graceland."
We'll see how long that disaster lasts. Hopefully not long. But don't worry, I'm sure there are plenty of other talentless clowns you can latch onto to do PR for!!:hey
