:good:deal exactly. When did Morrales ever duck a challenge? The guy has one of the most impressive resumes of the last 20 years

May I refer you to ESB rule #3. Never slate Erik Morales.

Kellerman later watched this back on TV with the sound off so as not to influence himself.

Everybody 'ducked' JMM, if that's what you want to call it. Everyone knew he was an absolute top shelf fighter. Problem is, JMM helped them duck him by dropping a couple fights he should have won and making himself one of the worst risk/reward ratios in probably the entire history of the sport.

Bernie beat me to it here.Marquez was a bad proposition for anyone back then for the reasons Bernie's stated.Scott Harrison was another who felt the money on offer was too low for a high risk fighter like Juanma.
At that time he wasn't a fan's favourite at all,so there was very little money to be earned fighting a guy who let's face it,had the skill and ability to give anyone at feather an absolute nightmare of a fight.
Morales had the resume and acheivement to put this one on the backburner without fear of recrimination at time.

Kellerman is a delusional clown, he has no shame, he has his favourites & will spout out any old shite top prop them up... Morales & Barrera at their best beat any version of Marquez... if JMM really wanted any part of those guys in their prime he could have made it happen, he knew those 2 were the men back then & the men to beat don`t do the chasing, Marquez let time pass him by & thats why he`s always played catch-up to both EM & MABs greatness & not the other way around.

When they were all in their prime years, Morales & Barrera were world p4p stars... JMM & pac were nowhere near their status... they only have greater longevity because EM & MAB were showing the world how legends do it in their early 20s.

    That is all !
