Wait Garcia and Brook hit harder than Thurman? Brook debatable... I think Thurman hits Harder, Garcia no way. Not at 147, his power is non-existent.
Max is right 100% when he says Spence is the best at 147 while it's obvious TC is the best at 140. funny how much has to be proven to you guys , then by the time you're finally believing what had been crystal clear for years is no longer true due to age and ring wear. Morons , we have too many ducking Morons here
You don't necessarily have to have power to beat someone. Also what makes you so convinced that Thurman couldn't hurt Spence? When has Spence fought anyone as good/quick/powerful as Thurman?
Max is a shill. It grates on my nerves how in the tank he is for HBO house fighters. Especially American ones. This is not a knock on Crawford or anyone else but if praise comes from Kellerman take it with a grain of salt.
Yeah just like Floyd did with Manny If you know the above statement is the most likely option he gets no credit for it , and it shows just how brave canelhoe ain't You have either a spiteful mind or a weak one of which I ain't sure
Spence has the goods on the eye test. Ya know who else does, or did? J Rock. Max was saying that sh1t to be an *******. We've seen Porter, Thurman and Garcia all in there with better competition than Crawford or Spence has faced. So until T-Craw or Spence face elite guys its hard to say they're the best 140-147. We don't even know how T-Craw takes a punch from a heavy handed guy at 140, much less an average puncher at 147. Also y'all saying Brook is better than Thurman/Garcia, por que?
100% agree with you about the first part. Dunno wtf you're talking about with the second part. Max played up the robbery aspect in the Kov/Ward post fight interviews--both who are HBO house fighters. He hypes Loma to the ceiling, but rightfully so. However the way they hype triple G is unlike anything else. So you're statement about the american part is off breh.
Theres nothing overrated about Crawford, if anything for his skill level he is underrated. He might just be the most complete fighter in boxing today.
Based on watching their fights I think most knowledgeable, impartial people would say Brook is better than Garcia at 147. I think opinion would be split roughly 50/50 over who is better between Thurman and Brook.
I've been following Max since he was on public access channels only available in NYC back in 91. He has a clear American bias. I don't believe he played up the robbery aspect of Kovalev vs Ward. He didn't mention it the night of the ppv. Only the following day he said he re-watched it and scored it 114-113 Kovalev. Then last night talking up Crawford as a potential fighter of the year he named Ward as a candidate - with the caveat that "some" feel he lost to Kovalev. That's not playing up that's more like sweeping under. He could of said "some including myself had Kovalev" or "most ringsiders and fans in attendance had Kovalev" He worded his statement very carefully to protect the American fighter. Max is a shill.
Dude go re-watch the post fight interview. I don't care how long you've known about Max. Dude definitely works for HBO, and thus hype's their fighters to the moon. I'm trying to think who HBO has in house that's american? Besides Valdez and Crawford? Also Brook has only beat Porter, so I don't think it's fair to say he's better than or equal to Garcia, Thurman.
I find him amusing for some reason, even when he says stupid stuff i seem to be able to laugh it off most times. His super serious face just cracks me up.
