Spence will take over and conquer the entire WW Division.

You may not care but I'm just letting you know that Max has a history of favoritism towards American fighters. He was into the sport before he ever worked for HBO and he constantly favored American fighters. Of course he is going to shill for HBO they sign his checks. But he is over the top with it. Roy Jones doesn't go as far as him or Lampley Max is irritating with his Schtick.

IMO If Crawford wants to be looked at as one of the top fighters pound for pound, a move up to WW would have to happen. If he were to go up there and actually win, he could start making a strong case for himself as the top fighter in the world.

What he's done up to this point in his career has been exceptional. I thought his win over Gamboa was pretty good (albeit against a smaller guy,) but he did beat up on Postol who was widely considered the other top guy at 140 at the time.

Anyway, if he goes up to 147 and is actually able to beat guys like Thurman, Spence, Porter, Brook, etc., he'd be carving out an ATG resume for himself. I honestly don't think he'd do well in most of those fights, but if he's able to carry his power with him as well as carry a good chin to 147 than who knows?

I will say this- if the guy wanted to dip his feet in the division first, I'd love to see him fight Amir Khan. That would be an entertaining fight for however long it would last.

Crawford hasn't beaten anyone yet for Kellerman to be making those types of statements. Porter, Thurman, and Garcia, are all better than Postol.

Crawford does beat anyone 140-147, in my opinion. Don't think I'd put Spence in the conversation. He hasn't fought a top 15-20 guy in his division yet.

I don't think he does. He has never been in the ring with any fighter the likes of any top 147 pounder. I hate when Kellerman tries to match make after a fight. It's really poor taste to try and put fighters on the spot, especially if it a fighter that's not ducking anybody. Like Ward told his ass," I don't negotiate in the ring". I don't like the HBO's crew 's style. They over do everything.

Not sure there's anyone at 147 who matches up to Crawford. He'd destroy Garcia, he'd outbox Thurman & Porter - who else is there? Not so sure we'll see Brook there long enough that a fight between Crawford and him could happen there. Pac won't fight someone he knows he'd likely lose to. Amir Khan would be fun while it lasted and Spence isn't in the elite just yet to determine how good he really is. Crawford has been the man at two weight classes, Spence hasn't picked up even a paper title in his only division so far.

That's you saying that but you don't have sound have a sound foundation to make a statement like that. It carries no weight. He won't destroy Garcia because Garcia can box and has an iron chin, he also can crack. No walkover. As for him out boxing Thurman I don't think so. Thurman has real boxing skills and speed, no need to mention the power and he can knock you out backing up. He has never faced the pressure of a Shawn Porter, maybe he can handle it and maybe he can't but either way, it's no guaranteed win for Crawford. I won't even mention Spence and Brook cause you already know. Crawford is not gonna go to 147 and rule sh#t.

I think Max is sure a lot more knowledgeable and impartial than Lampley. But saying there's no one at 147 for Crawford sounds like HBO hype. Thurman, Garcia, Spence, and really anyone in the top 10 would be far greater threats than anyone at 140 for Crawford. 140 is really weak these days, after being great for most of the last 20 years. He should stay at 140 for now though, so he has the chance to fight guys moving up from 135 like Mikey Garcia or take on guys at 147.

HBO in general has horrible commentating. Back then you had commentary that wasn't pushing agenda and just called the fight. Max use to be a free speaker but now he's a company man plain and simple. He's trash and quite frankly I think him, Jim, Roy and Lederman should get the axe period.
