Max Kellerman thought the fight was stopped 'prematurely'. Do you agree?

I think it was a perfectly timed stoppage.

Yeah, it seemed a little early. Wlad deserved the opportunity to go out on his shield, and the ending could have been a little more conclusive.

This said, I've seen worse stoppages in modern boxing. These squeamish refs stop fights early all the time. Boxing matches should, on balance, be allowed to go to their natural conclusion.

Let the fighters decide the outcome, with their fists!

Ref saved Wlad from another brutal uppercut or brutal punch IMO. Why let it go any longer because Wlad was deeply hurt and on his way out on his back VS his feet.

This notion that NONE of the final flurry connected is just bonkers.

Several of the punches connected and WLad didn't know where he was. He was saved from a brutal KO.

Only one punch really got through during that final flurry by Joshua, but Wlad was going to get brutally KO'd if the ref hadn't stepped in. No problem with the stoppage here when the end result would have meant additional damage to Wlad. The ref is there to protect the fighters, often times from themselves. That ref did his job.

The fight should not have been stopped because Anthony was not landing punches. Wlad was dodging those punches. Anthony would have been dead tired if that fight goes to the 12. Anthony has major Stamina and chin problems. Wlad was one punch from ending the fight and failed to do it. Had that fight went to the 12th I think Wlad would have been in better shape. Anthony is way overrated and a Ko waiting to happen. Anthony is to easy to hit. I would like to see him give the real king Kong Ortiz a shot. Everyone seems to be ducking Ortiz. Ortiz is the hardest puncher in boxing right now in my opinion.

Most fight stoppages are hindsight 20/20. We've all seen far worse stoppages than this. Bottom line is he'd already been knocked down twice in the round, and Joshua was swarming him and he wasn't answering back. But I'll always wonder what would have happened if they hadn't stopped it. Probably either one of two things- Joshua knocks him down again and ends the fight, or, Joshua runs out of energy as he did in round 5. And if that happened and Klitschko could have somehow come back to hurt or stop him, that would have topped Foreman/Lyle.
