Max Kellerman

Max Kellerman is useless. He offers absolutely nothing to the HBO broadcasts. Limited knowledge, a poor commentator with an annoying voice and a **** interviewer with goggly eyes that are disturbing to look at. The fact that HBO have tried to push him into replacing Larry Merchant is insulting to the intelligence of their subscribers. He should go back to being a local radio talk show host.

 

It's hard to understand how anyone can defend his incompetence.

Also, when you do an evening broadcast on national television, you really should shave in the evening so you're not walking around with a 10 o'clock shadow. Lampley needs to take Max aside and teach him this.

 

Exactly... The guy's a terrible commentator... He's not "hip" like he thinks he is, and his questions are all dumb

Ask questions fans want to know the answer to, there's like a basic structure

- What do u think of ur performance tonight
- What's next for you
- People want to see the So-n-So fight, do you want that fight

Its that simple, with a few variations depending on certain circumstances e.g. "Did u learn anything from this fight" "Do u want a rematch" "R u gonna fight again" "How did u prepare for that performance"

I mean, honestly, send me a contract HBO

 

he makes a good observation every now and again, but he talks down to all of the fighters as if they can't understand words with more than 2 syllables, Max is a condescending moron

 

kellermam really adds nothing to what you're seeing and to what you already know.

There are ways to relate to a fighter when inteviewing them, to Max these concepts are foreign

 

Max Kellerman knows alot about boxing history especially Harry Greb and that's pretty damn awesome if you ask me

 

When he speaks way down to fighters who are very intelligent like Ward/Hopkins/Donaire etc, but then asks extremely elaborate questions of guys who have very shaky English.

Max Kellerman grew up in a posh apartment on Fifth Avenue. His parents are very wealthy and his pschiatrist father, Henry Kellerman, has a lot of important connections, and that is why the annoying twerp is on tv.
