Kellerman is some TV executives nephew who could not lace up a pair of slip on shoes much less a pair of boxing high tops. As for his announcing I always just turn off the sound to see the matches for myself. The announcers who are not from the ring are just TV executive nephews who keep the money in the family for the broadcast company.
Paulie is excellent as an ****yst. Most fighters favor the fighting style that's theirs, but Paulie actually takes himself out of the equation and see's the whole picture from both the aggressor and the fighter on the backfoot's point of view, and he formulates his thoughts in a way that fight fans appreciate. Paulie's great being himself and formulating his own opinions working for Showtime, he wouldn't be a good fit at HBO, he'd be held back having to follow a script like Max Kellerman now has to.
