I'm not a huge Kellerman fan. He scoring of a fight can be off at times and he used to be / is very biased, I think he's just much better at covering it up now that some of the stars in boxing that he has to cover are from the groups he is / was biased again. He also said it was okay to hit women, which got him suspended from ESPN a while back.

The bias slipped out again ( Against a group he used to / still is biased against ) when called Gvozdyk, a quitter. Gvozdyk didn't quit in between rounds his body had enough and gave it. Kellerman, who caught a lot of heat for saying Gvozdyk quit this used the show to issue his on-air public apology, mentioning a recent ring death and a 2-day hospital stay by Gvozdyk who received punishment from perhaps the hardest hitting light heavyweight active today. It was his best moment in years.

As for the show it's very good. I'll give it a thumbs us. The guests are quality. The boxing replays are good. Kellmeran is much better in a scripted environment, thinking about what he's going to say and picking the best clip to edit in or out. Live on the air he can be a mess, but in his show, I must say its quality.

I'm glad you brought this up. I missed the apology. I respect the guy a little more now that he has appologized.

It was a good apology; you should catch it.

In the show before, Kellmeran questioned GGG's legacy using the Canleo fights ( Which GGG won the first beyond a doubt ) and his recent performance against Derevyanchenko to suggest he's overrated. Oh, really Max, how old was GGG for these fights? 36-37? How did yer boy Ali look at this age?

Maybe an editor of the show can remind you how young Hagler and Monzon retired, and how lucky they were to have the top name welters moving up to fight them to build their legacy upon, meanwhile, Mayweather and Pacquiao would not even dare whisper to the press about fight GGG. The bottom line is the most famous welters avoided GGG, and so did Martinez. Part of his legacy is who avoided him, his consecutive title defenses, and still being a good fighter in his later 30's. Oh, and he still only has one defeat on his record, and that one deserves an asterisk the size of a fist.

He has a segment of the show where he answers emails from the fans. Maybe I should bring up this point, then again he's the one who picks who replies to.

I accept the show because it's slim pickings. The format, replays, and guests are good.

I'll watch his show because I like boxing but I have always felt MK has been greenlighted to the top. He comes out of the NYC market and therefore was catapulted to the top. Undoubtedly there are connections there. He does a decent job but he hasn't earned his place. It was given to him. He just strikes me as a kid trying to act like a man.

LOL You do realize that Pac and Mayweather started a much lower weights than Leonard and Hearns. Duran is of course Duran. One of the greatest to ever do it. Can't really knock Pac and Mayweather for not moving up and facing G. And by the way, only a fool would say G was overrated!

Welter's and jr middle, heck middle weigh champions want no part of a prime GGG. How about Cotto. With all the BS on the scales these says I bet Pac and Mayweather were heavier than Hearns was on fight night at middle weight.

I guess the point was GGG never fought big names in a weight class or two below him in his prime because they knew better. Hopkins, Monzon, and Hagler most certainly did.

Personally, I don't hold that against G. Anyone that knows anything about boxing can watch 1 round of a prime G and know he is a quality fighter. I will say that, considering the lack of opposition, he could have moved up, but what he accomplished at 160 is still among the best anyone has ever done at 160. Can't blame Pac and Mayweather passing on that heat.

Its a good show and I rate Kellerman, his job is more difficult than it looks I'd imagine plus he'll have producers on his case advising him on which cages to rattle so doubt everything he says is his own opinion.
