Sylvester is the only person in the vicinity of world class that Proksa has beaten (let alone destroyed) and SS wasn't exactly in top form anymore when Proksa destroyed him.

Really strange comment, made me laugh and groan at the time.

 

Proska, while certainly athletic, was in many respects tailor made for GGG's power punching. Proska is wild, reckless, and amateurish at times. Honestly how the hell did someone not pull him aside at some point in his career and say, "Stop with that looping, head down, lead left."

That shot alone is a recipe for trouble against a big puncher.

Now, as for GGG, I'd like to see him in there with either a more defensive minded, ring savvy opponent (Darren Barker, for example) or someone who brings sufficient offensive diversity and firepower to the table (Sergio, for instance) to keep GGG honest and from loading up all night long.

If GGG dispatches either of the aforementioned in similar fashion, then we may have something special here.

 

Max was doing what HBO told him to do, which was put the overhype machine into overdrive. It wasn't even necessary. Golovkin looks like the real deal. He didn't have to try and lead any boxing ignorant fans on by making it like Proska had beaten any actual world class opposition.

Max is ok. He's just like every other commentator. Goes a little overboard on the hyperbole and bad acting from time to time.

Rarely do I watch a fight and not come away annoyed w/at least some portion of the broadcast crew but I've tried the "I'm hard core and will watch the fight w/the sound off" deal. It's just not as much fun.

 

I think he was talking about bute in the am's and dirrel in athens.

The pain caused by listening to Max forced me to block out these memories until you brought them up again. But you're right about all of this. The stupidities that pour out of Max's mouth on a daily basis are mindboggling.
