And it proves what? That they fought different guys and every fight is different . walcott was better boxer than schmeling.he did beat joey maxim several times, beats bivins, curtis shepperd, ezzard charles twice and knocked him out,he was robbed against louis and he was giving marciano a total class before rocky was lucky to catch him in the round 13 . in a 12 rounder walcott would have won by ud.
Schmeling besides beating a green louis he did beat the joke sharkey and baer raped him

Foolish post. Schmeling defeated 4 hall of fame fighters Joe Louis, Jack Sharkey, Mickey Walker, and Young Stribling.
He was clearly robbed in his rematch with Sharkey which would have lengthened his reign and he was clearly rooked out of his chance to fight Braddock which would of likely made him the first man to ever regain the title. He also holds nearly 20 more wins on Douglas and with 40 lifetime KOs to Douglas's 25.
    Schmeling > Douglas no comparison

Joe louis was green. In 1936 louis was not the finished job. In the rematch schmeling proved that he was lucky beating him once in 1938 louis was this time in his prime and absolutely destroyed him in 1 round . jack sharkey is one of the weakest lineal hw champs in history ,walker weighed 174 pounds when he fought Schmeling and he was a middleweight nearly all his career, and he was well past his prime when he fought the bigger Schmeling. Stribling retired 2 years after his fight with max,he neither was in his prime and he was not a Great thing,he lost against sharkey and carnera(suspect fight but still lost).
    Keep trying

Don't have to keep trying you look foolish trying to defend your Schmeling equals Tokyo Douglas, trying in vain to discredit Max's wins.
Joe Louis wasn't green he already ko'd two lineal champions and would not lose for 12 years after Schmeling. That's not Green that's prime.
Sharkey is not one of the weakest lineal champs he's in the hall of fame.
Walker was competing just fine at heavy weight until Max handed him his lunch I believe he was 6-1-1 at heavy. Stribling had never been stopped and was never stopped again.
Sorry your post was poor and misinformed.

Remember, Charles & Walcott split 4 fights. I think this is a similar situation.

The worst bunch of crap ever answered... Lmao.
    "No,he was not green".
Louis was green in 1936 at 22.he is on film saying that he was at his best at 24 and the samething said dempsey.
    "No,he was fine at hw".
Walker was not a hw you idiot.
    "Stribling never was stopped"
It is irrelevant, who is talking about if he was stopped or not?
By the way who is talking about buster douglas?
Seriously. You are a joke lmao the boxing is not your sport.

You are totally ignorant. Clueless response. Tyson was 22 in 1988 was he green? Walker competed at HW that makes him a hw. He bested several contenders of the day, and back to Schmeling he also ko'd number 1 contender Steve Hamas, and beat perennial contender Uzcudon 2x, it was YOU that compared Schmeling to Buster Douglas. You were wrong and can't own up to it. Ignorant.

Walcott and Schmeling are incredibly evenly matched in my opinion. I'll pick Walcott, but only just.

Undecided. But I'll lean towards Walcott by UD or late TKO
