Who would've won if this kind of fight would've been organised and both fighters would've been well prepared?

    My estimation:

Max by UD or late TKO

buddy baer was a step below the elite...a big ****ing step. max schmeling was always an elite fighter, buddy picked his brothers leftovers. schelming by an overhand right in 8th round to be generous

Schmeling a bit better than the younger Baer brother I maintain. A lopsided decision punctuated by a trip to the deck by Buddy..and an earlier version of Schmeling would have stopped him.

I gotta go with Buddy Baer in this from '39....... Max Schmeling was way past it by then....... Buddy was peaking; Max Schmeling was baking.....

All in all, Schmeling was the better fighter, but, he also was 10 yrs the senior of Buddy as well...... Age is a factor here......

    Buddy Baer....
