    I tend to agree.

Schmeling would be a stylistic nightmare for Norton. He realy had the ability to counter and crucify people who tried to come towards him.

Schmelling doesn't have the power to take Norton out and doesn't have the boxing ability/size to outhustle him.

Ali hits harder than Schmelling, was faster, bigger (height/reach), more skilled and had a far better right hand and even better power. What does Schmelling do that Ali could not? Norton beat Ali and I can't see anyway Schmelling beats him.

Norton would be able to outbox and then become the agressor curtesy of being the the bigger man and beat Schmelling until a mid-round KO.

    Norton mid-round stoppage

Yes, Schmellings power is very overrated, 1 hes a light heavweight and 2 he needed to hit Louis about 500 times to stop him and from that basis call him a puncher.

How did he do against Baer a fighter smaller and weaker than Norton with lesser skills? He was KO'D late on. Norton could do the job quicker.

    1. He has lesser power and lesser skills than Holmes and Ali

    2. Ring magazine rankings are bogus. Schmelling didnt hit as hard with the right as Holmes or Ali

    3. Norton fought 15rounds against Ali and Holmes arguably beating both. Why would he have a problem with the lesser Schmelling? Schmelling doesn't hit as hard as Holmes/Ali with the right hand

Schmeling did hurt Baer in there fight a few times with that right hand of his. Schemling could relly wack with that right hand, and Baer made sure he didnt take 2 many of thsos.

Ridiculous posts from some here, Ali hit harder than Schmeling...

Max´s hard and fast counter right hands would be too much for the brave Norton, I predict a midround TKO from Schmeling...

    Schmeling TKO 8 Norton
