    Schmeling did well against come forward fighters. He fought Uzcudon 3x and won all three times although one fight was officially ruled a draw. In Spain.
    Uzcudon was a very tough man. Only Louis was able to knock him out and that was in his last fight. He crushed an old Wills (on YouTube) and best several solid fighters including Baer. This fight with Max took a little out of him and he started to lose with more frequency after this bout.

    I can see why he beat Baer, he just didn't give him space to operate.
