Liston steamrolls him in a few rounds. Bad match up for Max who lacked the swivel, the supple hip twist and fast twitch to match Sonny. I give him a few rounds before Liston each and every exchange wears him down.
You say that things are to be open and to be honest. But I believe that they are neither. I believe that they are not only not both, but neither. Because Maxamillian J. Schmeling...was a Nazi. And I believe this thread comes from an anti-Nazism agenda that you have enacted since the VERY FIRST with you on this site.
Max Schmeling was a great person and not a Nazi. He was never a member of the NSDAP. He had a Jewish manager (Joe Jacobs) and refused to leave him. He also had many Jewish friends. He hid two teenage sons of a Jewish friend in his Berlin hotel room, which was very risky for him. Schmeling helped to smuggle them out of the German Reich. Later, he was drafted as a paratrooper in WWII. He had to go to the life-threatening battle of Crete, which was very uncommon for famous sport stars or stars in general. These were usually spared. He wasn't a superhero, just a boxer, who had enough to do with his own life.
