To be honest looking back I'm shocked I picked Max to lose to Moore myself

He trashed Mickey Walker, who was more versatile fighter than Qawi. It wouldn't be easy work for him but he's clear favorite for me.

A prime Qawi would have been a far more formidable opponent. Better jab, better counters, far more elusive, and a naturally bigger man to boot.

Because Walker is from 20s and 30s... As always you don't like fighters from that era. Walker was at least on the same level as Qawi. A bit different fighter but probably more dangerous as he could fight in multiple ways.

Might be because unlike you (I assume) I’ve actually watched a lot of Qawi’s fights and know a good deal about him. But I get it—everyone knows that Walker is Great and versatile. Nonetheless, I think Qawi was better than the version of Walker who fought Schmeling, for all of the reasons I mentioned, and others.

PS— You seem to be really into discussing “levels” and who’s a “better puncher” and who’s an ATG and who’s not, as if those labels were proof of how one fighter would fare against another or in the other’s place. Most of that jargon and those labels aren’t really meaningful or helpful, imo

Then what is helpful? I used ATG fighter in Mickey Walker who I believe is at least similar obstacle to overcome as Qawi and Schmeling completely dominated him. Maybe Qawi would fare better than him, but I don't think he was "far more elusive" or that he had "much better counters". You dislike my description of Schmeling jab and it's fair. In the end that's only my opinion. Keep in mind that some people may disagree with your opinions too and I disagree that Qawi is much better fighter than Walker or that he's better suited to beat Schmeling. Qawi didn't have enough strength to pressure Schemling successfully and he would end up similar to Walker in my opinion.

It's all hypothetical and subjective, don't get me wrong. We'll never know. Don't act like you are the one who watches footage and others don't because they don't have the same conclusion as you.

Louis was a better technical fighter than Evander.

You really can envision Max firing straight right hands catching Evander clean.

I don't understand how that is responsive to what I wrote.
