No. Look who was the director. And Maske playing Schmeling? Nah. I will watch it anyway but I expect a very bad movie.

I saw a very good TV movie back in 1978 called Ring of Passion, which was about the Louis - Schmelling rivalry. Anyone remember it ?

    Who's Max Scheming?

You shut up, Bodhi! Boll sub-directed SNV's Teen Wolf 3. He's awesome!

"Being directed by Boll and SNV at the same time is like being on an orgasmic spit, roasting like a turkey that's being prepared for a holiday in heaven. I came. I saw God. I was conquered. It's my best work."

And Keaton was an atheist before filming TW3.

A horrible director and a cast made out of boxers, not actual actors. Can't expect much from this, which is a shame as it will probably remain the only relatively high profile movie about Max Schmeling whose life story was very interesting and deserving of a movie, a quality movie that is.

Horrible directors do not make religious converts of great atheist actors/actresses. Period.

You're overrating Boll's directing abilities. The Sugar man made the movie what it was. Nikolai Valuev that is.

...I suppose I can see your logic. But I like to think Boll was significant enough or SNV would not have shared a directing credit with him.

"It was his idea to shoot the final scenes at the location of Auschwitz III-Monowitz. It made all of our performances heavier during the wolf raid scene. It also brought us full circle from the opening scenes shot in Branson, Missouri with American country music funny man Jim Stafford."

~SNV on Boll's creative process as sub-director and occasional consultant of creative imagery on the set of TW3.

Wonder if it will focus on his two fights with Joe Lisou ?
Or, will it include his other bouts, like his two with Jack Sharkbait ?
And his ko by Waxie Bear?:good

If the movie wants to be historically accurate, it will have Jack Johnson picking against Joe Louis when he meets Schmeling. Who should play papa Jack? :)
