We're talking IBHOF, right? Because there is also a lesser-known "World Boxing Hall of Fame."

Assuming that is the case, Ezzard Charles was:
    1-0 against Teddy Yarosz
    2-0 against Charley Burley
    5-0 against Joey Maxim
    4-1 against Jimmy Bivins
    3-0 against Archie Moore
    1-0 against Gus Lesnevich
    1-0 against Joe Louis
    2-2 against Jersey Joe Walcott
    0-1 against Harold Johnson
    0-2 against Rocky Marciano
24 fights against Hall-of-Famers, with an 18-6 record.

    Archie Moore:
    0-1 against Teddy Yarosz
    0-1 against Charley Burley
    4-1 against Jimmy Bivins
    1-1 against Holman Williams
    0-3 against Ezzard Charles
    4-1 against Harold Johnson
    3-0 against Joey Maxim
    1-0 against Bobo Olson
    0-1 against Rocky Marciano
    0-1 against Floyd Patterson
    0-0-1 against Willie Pastrano
    0-1 against Muhammad Ali
25 total, with a 13-11-1 record. Note that his opponents Lloyd Marshall (2-0), Eddie Booker (0-1-2) and Cocoa Kid (2-0) are sorely in need of induction into the IBHOF as well. While Archie's record isn't as gleaming as those of the likes of a Robinson or Charles, it's worth pointing out that he had a rougher route getting to the top than those two, who both had top amateur pedigrees and were being groomed for titles from the time they started their careers.

If speaking on ratio terms, I might be inclined to rate Jimmy McLarnin's resume as the best of the ones listed so far (possibly the best in history) if strictly going by their work versus fellow HOF'ers.

24 fights against 13 different HOF'ers (15-8-1 by my count), and that was in a career of less than 70 pro fights.

    That's remarkable.

I was looking at Sam Langford's record.

In 1916 alone, he faced HOFers McVea, Jeanette, and Wills a combined nine times.

I suppose Cachorro Amaya has the best pure ratio ever. His only listed pro fight was against Alexis Arguello. And he won. I wonder if he brags about it everyday like Al Bundy and his 4 touchdowns. I sure would.

Marshall has wins over at least half a dozen Hall of Famers, but isn't in Canastota.

    Go figure.

Yeap. He is one of those names that one sees a lot while studying the light heavies and heavies of the 1930s. A solid contender.

I left out Jack Blackburn as he is the HOF, but more because of his training of Louis. He is in there as a "Non-Participant".
