My advice to any fellow spectators here is to refrain from blinking once the bell sounds.

 

Round 1

Batyrgaziev with the southpaw jab flowing like spice from Arrakis. Manzanilla putting up a spirited effort from the starting blocks, throwing away left jabs above shoulder height while leaning partway over and then slinging in powerful wrecking ball rights toward Batyrgaziev's chest. Good responsible footwork and parrying from the Olympian, not outhustling the Venezuelan-Colombian by much if any, but outscoring him.

Round 2

Batyrgaziev is having to make quick tactical adjustments on the fly as Manzanilla goes into full-on Gumby mode, bending and contorting himself in every direction imaginable and head never left in the same place for long. Batyrgaziev throwing heat-seeker right jabs and left crosses and finding Manzanilla wherever he goes. A few combos really sticking with purpose when Manzanilla gets himself caught in a corner. Shuriken jabs and body uppercuts from Manzanilla, but no leverage as he's constantly leaning away. Low rate of connects for him.

Round 3

Batyrgaziev is just pelting Manzanilla bell to bell with crisp southpaw 1-2s, landing on head and body. Finally gets his man down with thirteen seconds on the clock, and then kicks his ass some more upon time-in. Manzanilla's corner should pull him.

The punishment continued in the fourth, and Batyrgaziev ripped Manzanilla with a right hook on the side of the jaw and left uppercut pressing the button out front. Manzanilla floundered on the ropes with glazed eyes before sinking down, waved off still conscious but without a count being necessary.

This wasn't very instructive about what kind of pro Batyrgaziev will be, and in fact may not have been much if any of a step up from Suat Laze (at least the Italian had never been stopped before, unlike Manzanilla).

Mongolian southpaw giving up a good few inches of height but clearly the better fighter here.

Alright, this walkout bout doesn't have me hooked. It isn't bad, just not invested in it and have some last-minute xmassy stuff to do...so, I'm out.
