Maxim Vlasov vs Joe Smith Jr prediction thread

The guy went up in weight and now down in weight.....I'm thinking here how bad Roy Jones looked after going up and down from HW.

AND he had the virus and I'm thinking Poketkin vs Whyte II.

Doesn't look good for him; I'm taking Smith by UD.

 

Yeah, if he wasn't just positive and was also ill, I'm thinking about Povetkin II and Glowacki vs Okolie.

 

Of course I don't know for sure whether or not Covid will have an impact. Logic says that he wouldn't be taking the fight especially at this point in his career if he had any lingering effects from the virus. I normally don't get shitty with people on here but his previous post rubbed me the wrong way and came across as condescending. I do realize my experience with the virus is not apple's to apples with everyone else.

Moving on from the Covid topic, I do think this is a very interesting fight between two top contenders that both have strengths and weaknesses. Sorry if I came across wrong to anyone on this thread. I really am only interested in talking boxing and don't want to argue about BS.

 

I knock nothing about the dude Smith is fighting. Smith can be out boxed.

The big take away for smith for me is his fight versus Alvarez.

People don't talk about this fact but Alvarez see to land a massive haymaker clean and knock guys out. He landed the same shot on smith and while it did hurt smith made him buckle within 10 seconds he took over the round so I think this guy might have some chin on him.

I'm picking a Smith by ko but admit I don't know his opponent

 

While Smith has more ko power, I believe Vlasov is the better boxer. With the experience at cruiserweight, I think it will help him win the fight.
