Actually Pavlik was being compared to Ray Robinson and i think there was actually a thread on Pavlik vs Robinson after Pavlik beat Taylor the first time. It was really pathetic how much hype Pavlik got so i would go with Pavlik since he was made to look like a child fighting a man for 12 rounds. Khan was also exposed but it was just a 1 round KO which to me is not as bad as 12 rounds of a boxing lesson. Specially after being compared to Robinson....
Khan definitely. It was generally accepted that the day would come when he would have to fight someone his own size - with the inevitable consequences. But it was still funny Andy Lee was pretty heavily hyped, but at least he had been fighting guys his own size. I don't think he will achieve all that much though in the future. I always considered Pavlik a one-dimensional banger - beating the likes of Gary Lockett is one thing, but a guy who can disarm you is another completely, and he got destroyed.
I would rather step up 2 weight class and get schooled by an ATG then get sparked in 30 seconds by a nobody.
Definitely Khan. Andy Lee was doing pretty well in that fight until after round 5. Khan was destroyed. Andy Lee has fought since hasn't he? And Vera doesn't want to fight him again and I'm guessing Lee won't make the same mistakes again.
Khan wasn't being ranked as a P4P great just a great Propsect....future champion Pavlik was #7 P4P off of beating one guy
