Nobody in the States cares about a Glass Jawed British fraud like Khan. Same for Ortiz. I guess HBO and Golden Boy are going to continue to force that Glass Jawed quitter down our throats? This card is going to be a huge flop.

The first two are American, which makes a difference. None are of Asian descent either and very few will know any are Muslim.

I don't care if he is Muslim or not. I don't care if he is brown, black, yellow or purple. I just hope JMM beats his ass.

I think it more of an Asian + Muslim thing in UK and in the US any probs would be mainly due to him being Muslim

Well if his first fight flops it's because he's trying to jump in to headlining a top PPV fight too quickly. Thats going to work for nobody.

Him and his promoters are rushing it, not building him up. He beat a poor and unknown world champ, and fought a very poor fella for a mandatory.

They did they same thing in the UK, rushed him onto Box Office and he'd done nothing.

There's no paying his dues at all. Sometimes you gotta fight good challenges for less than top money, to prove you deserve to be on top.

Thats why he might flop, it's got nothing to do with race. But that what Khan fans always go straight for.

The hispanic fighters were adopted in america because of their fighting style and not because of their race. The americans wanted to be ringside to witness such great warriors do battle. Regardless of this, racism is an inherent part of america as many americans themselves have documented on tv.

Khans fighting style does not resemble the aforementioned hispanics. Sadly, khan is burning his bridges with the uk fanbase by leaving b4 his established a firm following. The pakistani fans do not have the funds to support khan. And the americans won't embrace khan. Because their racist.

um, no. His fighting style is boring he fights like a mini robot he throws pitter pat punches at the gloves and only moves forward and backwards. He has one of the worst Glass Jaws ever. That is why Americans won't embrace him he has already been exposed as a fraud.

This card might do OK ratings because of JMM HBO was smart to put Khan in there with him from a ratings perspective but the casual American Boxing fan has no clue who in the hell Khan is and hardcore fans already know he is a Glass Jawed fraud. The only people hyping Khan up are the delusional British fans.

Get out of here with the 'racist' claims that has nothing to do with it.

Amir Khan is the most protected and coddled fighter in the World today he won't even fight Maidena or even a limited fighter like Prescott it is disgraceful the ducking this kid is doing.

haha. america isnt racist? Whos at the bottom and whos at the top?? a clear separate society. this racism comes through in everything. its voiced in the mediums of music and film, politics and media. How can you think a country which has its history so drenched in racism can turn it off like a light switch? Racism is still very much prevalent in America its just well hidden now. Khan WILL NOT be accepted in America because America IS racist.

I was going to say this was mildly offensive but I think I'll just go jump in with both feet and say it's full blown offensive.

a cant see the american public getting behind khan to be honest not really the race but he has a big following in the uk same as hatton but difference is that hattons fans would go over in the thousands but khans a think is more in there hundreds.....he wont be use to have the minority of fans behind him over there where as in the uk he had the majority imo

Yeah, every fight since Prescott has been PPV, but that was at 9pm on skysports. Who is going to stay up till 4am to watch him?

The numbers will be terrible, although I imagine sky will do there usual super hype crap just like how they made Salita into the worlds greatest undefeated fighter since rocky marciano

You speak in generalizations and you sound like a fool. Khan may end up doing poorly in America, but it might have nothing to do with racism. There are any number of reasons he could come here and not do well.

    Let's make it simple though.

First, the only people who will pay attention are boxing fans. Boxing fans already know that Khan, while talented, has been mollycoddled. He's already off on the wrong foot. America likes their fighters tough.

To be big here, he will have to dispel that idea while continuing to win against the best, because, more than liking them tough, America likes to win. America likes winners. If he can do that, he will get respect. Then he will get his fans. Regardless of race.

If Pacquiao hadn't kept winning he wouldn't be the most popular fighter in America today. If he had been muslim, there is no doubt there would be some people who wouldn't be fans just for that reason. Sad as that may be, the same can be said for any non-muslim nation. Such as yours. Which is the stated reason the guy Khan is leaving.
