If you think Lazcano is more worth while than the next ranked challenger, WBC champ, Junior Witter, then your a ****ing idiot.

Once you get better equainted on this forum you will know the haters right off, because they stick to the same tune over and over again. If the fight does happen and hatton knocks is block off it will be oh witter wasn't in his prime.:good

NAh it would be HAtoon manned up and shut Witters mouth. he would also prove me wrong about him being scared. and i woudl be a fan of his again. im not saying he has to fight witter off the bat but at least agree for some time latter this year.:good

100% correct. Witter was calling out Hatton a long, long time ago, this isn't just a recent thing and people tend to forget that. Hatton has ducked Witter since his days of holding the meaningless WBF belt. His excuse back then was he wouldn't fight Witter because Witter didn't have a belt....Witter got a belt and Hatton still wasn't prepared to prove himself the best at his weight in his own country, spouting the tried and tested 'I won't give him his biggest payday' bollocks. Fair enough, Hatton moved up and fought a few good fighters, struggled a bit on the way and finally got his comeuppance against Mayweather. There literally is nowhere else for him to go right now, if he thinks fighting this Texan bum and then Malignaggi will pacify the real fight fans in the UK then he's got another thing coming. It might keep the beer-swilling cheerleaders happy, but those of us that actually watch the sport know he's running scared :yep

If you think Witter is a B class fighter compared to Hatton then woulldn't that actually make him a C class fighter, considering that Hatton is at his best a B clsss fighter in the real world?

Do you REALLY think Witter is a C class fighter? Come on!

They're both B fighters, Hatton may be a bit better, Witter may be a bit better, but neither of them are anything extaordinary.

Hatton may not be a coward, I don't know, but if he's not, his handlers are making the VERY POOR mistake of making him seem like one. All they do is ***** about how Junior is a nobody, even though Witter is a ranked contender with a perfectly decent title (Hatton spent a lot of his career riding on the ****ing WBU title - what the hell is the WBU?). They spend time sayin he's not a draw. He's not a draw, but Juan Lazcano is? Witter may not be Oscar de la Hoya, but he is Hatton's rival and tons of people that don't even know ANYTHING about Witter are interested in this fight.

I could keep going and going, it all stupid things like that. Ray Hatton, and Ricky's other handlers are making this big deal out of trying to joke about Witter every time they are asked about him, but it sounds so fake and rehearsed.

Ricky or Ricky's handlers are LOOKING for excuses not to fight him. I believe the proof of this is in Hatton's most recent reaction to Witter trash talking him and calling him out: I won't fight someone who is rude to me.

This of course makes NO sense, as Hatton got the biggest fight of his career by calling out Floyd Mayweather and insulting him.

    And finally:

When Ricky was talking about a fight he wanted (Mayweather) he was brash and confident, when he (or any of his handlers) talk about Witter they seem likes guys just TRYING TO LOOK confident..

^ That last bit is just speculation of course, but I feel pretty confident its true.

Why on earth would Hatton not want to fight Witter? He has a good belt...were the IBO is worthless. He Witter is ready willing and able and is calling Hatton out...he claims to be the better fighter in the UK and Hatton dont want it? Seems odd...a chance on the cheap to get back into the title picture and get a major belt? A title shot is most fighters dream! And here for his 1st fight back after gettin OWNED by FMJ a golden chance on the plate! I'd say take it....unless you have doubts you can do it Ricky...yes you must win this fight or your finished...maybe that is the reason why you dont want it...high risk.

And believe me I'm a Hatton fan!!!!!! I'd love to see this fight - a great fight for the UK and world at 140. I think Hatton SHOULD win this but his lack of interest makes me wonder if he doubts himself.

Well that's the way to "walk the talk" . . . sacrifice! Never mind the money . . . if he wins . . . then he can dictate his purse later on. :yep

Meanwhile . . . I want to hear what Hatton has got to say about this. :D

getting a bit p'd off with Hatton, i like him and his style but who the f*ck wants to see him fight Lazcano, i wouldn't if it was in my back garden, the fans want to see Hatton/Witter like we wanted and are going to see Haye/Maccarinelli

Witter clearly wants the fight and is willing to fight in May, what reason can Hatton have for not wanting the fight if he isnt ducking him?

Agreed! But don't think that it is going to happen soon. With HBO ready to sign a new deal with Ricky and with HBO favourites Arum and DeBella talking seriously as though they have fights already negotiated with Ricky it doesn't look like a Witter fight is in the cards for the next little while.

I have a bad feeling this fight will never come off. I think most people on here get the same feeling. Thats why Ricky takes so much stick around here.

He fights Tszyu and Mayweather though is TERRIFIED of Witter??

I understand you probably want to see two of Britains best go up against eachother but Hatton is in the position that most top line fighters fine themself in.

He can pick and choose who he wants rather then go out of his way and continuely call out a bigger name hoping to be thrown a bone to feed on.

Witter and his management should channel their bull**** towards other top tier fighters rather then chasing Hatton around like a desperate crack addict.
