IMO stick with expedia, kayak, thomas cook etc. My family and myself have used them loads of times, no hidden charges and no surprises etc. But seriously, Polo Towers :good Or Bill's Gamblin Hall :yep I've stayed in both, they're both good. I seriously wouldn't bother staying in somewhere like Bellagio, The Cosmo, Caesar's etc, they're too pricey and you don't spend much time there anyway. Plus you can go in and look around all the hotels anyway, **** you can spend all day and night in one hotel, then just go back to yours for a few hours kip.
Try the hotels website direct and if you pay in Dollars it could be better. When I stayed in MGM we just turned up got a room for something like $70 a night.
Right I did a search on a hotel in Vegas doing it the way I do it. http://globaltrips.lastminute.com/t...s+vegas&numRooms=1&intcmp=opmtogt&path=hotels Cesars palace is £2317 expedia. Their own websit is $2533 which is around £1638. https://www.totalrewards.com/hotel-...property=CLV&site=google&kw=caesars_las_vegas I have a banks credit card that does not charge me fees for converting my currancy, so my charge is £1638. saving £679.
Why so expensive ive been getting prices for 600 pounds for 1 week at circus circus and excalibur etc lol G
Cheers for everyones comments and opinions, ive decided i will hold on for another month or so, just to see if anything gets announced and go from there. I really want to see boxing and will be so dissapointed if there was none when we fly over. :good G
There will almost certainly be a reasonably major fight in Vegas for Cinco di Mayo weekend so there's no harm in booking in adnvance to get a good rate. The first week in Jan will be your best time to book. I'd make a deposit only booking with an agent (trailfinders, travelbag, best at travel) so you can move the trip if the dates go tits up. I would also suggest that The Luxor provides the ebst bang for your buck for a hotel. It's at the South end of the strip but you donlt feel away from the action (it's right near Excalibur, NY NY and MGM) . I've not worked in leisure travel for just over a year, but all of the above was true last hear. Honest. ;-)
Yeah Luxor is a good bet. We were gonna stay there last time. TBH we spent most of the time down that end of the strip.
Afternoon all, was just about to book up with thomas cook to go to vegas for the boxing however i thought i would double check and make some enquires with the MGM grand and golden boy promos. Spoke to a woman in the shows department and she said that they had no bookings for boxing in MAY. i also phoned GBP however they were closed but nothing is in their diary so good thing i checked as i was going to book up, i dont know what to do now. just save the money i guess and await a result. thoughts people?? got to wait bestthing to do G
according to boxrec the only boxing on may 5th is a couple of 8 rounders of german club fighters in berlin, the best thing for you to do is wait and see, who knows they might hold a fight in the T&M centre or an outdoor venue instead but boxrec is reliable when it comes to objective information http://boxrec.com/date_search.php?yyyy=2012&mm=5&dd=5&SUBMIT=Go
Yeah cheers mate, i always use boxrec, aslong as its a fight in vegas i wont care, ill just ave to wait, but cant go before april as my annual leave dont start untill then G
"Canelo is looking to fight Cotto or Kirkland on April 21 or May 5. Kirkland is fighting Molina in March, so Cotto will be first choice." @MM_Undisputed I wouldn't worry about it though. There is almost always a big fight on that weekend. Last year was Floyd-Mosley, year before Pac-Hatton, a couple of years before Floyd-De La Hoya etc.
Canelo would be awesome for your first Vegas experience with the Mexican fans, add in Cotto and it's a must.
Nice, do you not think pacmans next fight will be in vegas? ideally id like to hang about for that if i knew it would be in vegas G
