:huh Honestly, the majority is not much better than what´s around today. Of course Holy, Tyson and Lewis stand out and slightly outrank the top dogs today and Bowe is better than the rest around today but outside of that I don´t think the rest is really much better. No doubt today´s hw division isn´t in a good shape but it´s better than as what it is quite often pictured.

I think most of that list would be in the top echelon today. Lewis, Holy, Tyson, Bowe would be either Champions or at least in that top bracket where they could win, the bracket today has only the two K bros.

Then there is that place underneath where if Haye was active i would have him today, better than the rest but not up with the very best elite fighters, i think almost anyone on that list would be in that position today.

Klitschko are two people not one. Nope, I don´t think they are significantly better. I think Anybody from 1 to 5 could hang in there with them and probably make the Top10 at some point. The Klitschkos obviously even higher.
IMO you (general you not you you) can get easily blinded by names here. Holy was on the top of the world but IMO Wlad would beat him. Tyson was on his way to prison. Ruddock was very good and probably would beat anyone but Wlad and Vitali. Same for Bowe. Witherspoon was on the slide and I can see him getting beaten by, for example Chambers or Helenius. Mercer IMO wasn´t any better than Povetkin and a few others. Foreman wasn´t really that good in the 90s and was lucky to get a shot against a vulnerable champ later on, he´d get beaten by most of today´s crop. Williams, see Mercer. Lewis wasn´t what he would be later, he still was very good but quite green and vulnerable. I still would pick him over most of today´s fighters but the best. Coetzer see Mercer.
They were better but not significantly.

I think they are significantly better. Vitali might not even make that top ten.

I count seven fighters from the '91 that have a decent to good to excellent chance of beating either Klitschko.

Tyson, Holy, Lewis, Ruddock, Mercer, Foreman and Bowe.

Reverse the lists, and see how many from today beat Holyfield from '91. The list would be much, much shorter.

Clearly '91 is a stronger list of fighters. Morrison and Cooper, both dangerous punchers, don't even make the list.

Read my posts, I never said they weren´t better. Just not significantly.

I don´t think Mercer or this version of Foreman have any chance against Wlad or Vitali. Also I don´t see that version of Lewis, and Ruddock beating either, or Holy and Bowe beating Wlad. Although all four have a good chance, I wouldn´t make them the fav. Tyson probably would knock out Wlad and outpoint or stop this version of Vitali late.

The brothers would also be top contenders in this era, however they would get beat by Holyfield, Tyson, Bowe and maybe the likes of Ruddock and Foreman would beat them as well, prime Ray Mercer is a tough fight for anyone. Lewis was green at this time.

    Not sure about that.

Holy was bearly beaten by Cooper ( there was a long count ), and beaten by Moorer.

Who did Tyson beat in the 1990's that was really good? He lost to Douglas.

Bowe who got the better of Holyfield was embarrased twice by Golota.

Foreman was old, beaten by Morrer and Morrison.

Do you really think the Klitschko's are not better than Bert Cooper, Golota, Douglas, Morrison and others? Point being, they could be #1, even in the 1990's.
