DonYil Livingston vs. Luis Arias, 6 rounds @ super middleweight

 

Round 1

Livingston is shaking his limbs out and jogging his upper body from side to side as he moves left and floats the jab. Arias catches shots on his left glove and pushes out with it for a broom jab looking to set up his quick right. Livingston keeps moving just out of the way as Arias lets fly with the right. Livingston lunges with a 1-2 and misses past both of Arias' ears. Livingston is caught at the end of a quick right hand lead from outside. Livingston is shoved into the ropes and tumbles under them as Arias is flurrying. No knockdown, slip. Livingston takes a jab to the body and slaps an ineffectual right across the small of Arias' back. Lead right by Arias. Clinch. Arias shoulders Livingston into a corner and digs in with uppercuts to the body.

Round 2

Livingston is moving in and touching Arias with his drop-jab, but getting blasted with much flusher right hand leads on the lower jab. Arias is holding and hitting, with sweeping rights to the body while his left is encircled around Livingston's waist. Jabs to the chest by Livingston, countered by big right hands loaded up by Arias while leaning back to slip. Livingston is cracked by a hard right hand and takes a step away but recovers quickly. Livingston throws a wide slow hooking combo as Arias digs into his chest. Hard left rip downstairs by Arias. Livingston leads with a telegraphed uppercut moving forward off the ropes and Arias leaps to safety before darting in to flurry on him.

Round 3

Livingston is walking in to maul Arias with hooks and clubbing rights up top. Arias is squeezing his inner arms together and blocking most of Livingston's chops before unloading his own volleys to head and body. Arias bodies up against Livingston and shoves him a few inches to set up pivoting rips to the body. BIG LEFT HOOK BY LIVINGSTON catching Arias in the middle of throwing a pair to the body. Arias' head was spun around, eyes closed. Arias responds by peppering Livingston's body with short clipping hooks and driving him into the ropes.
