Pac fought above 135 and looked great in the process. JMM has not. WHyt does everyone insist they are the same? Difference is Pac has proven he can fight over 135, Marquez has NOT.

He knocked out two fighters that have never ever been stopped before. Both were top 3 lightweights and champions... Pacman fought ****ing David Diaz....the worst fighter that had a belt at 135 at any given time... You really need to STFU. Marquez at 135 SHITS on pacman at 135. Although Pacman knocking out Hatton does make him proven at 140. The ODH fight was a ****ing joke. :D

ye but at one point in any career when they move up weight this same question will be asked unless if they were completely starving themselves for the division they were in i just think dont call it a mismatch until the fight happens people have made this mistake so many times

Pac vs Cotto = The true superfight of the year.

btw check this move made by dana white.

In an unprecedented move, Dana White and the UFC will air the undercard of the UFC 103 event live on television and commercial free. This move shows how serious the UFC is taking the fight with Mayweather Jr and Golden Boy Promotions.
Instead of resting on the UFC’s reputation and fan-following, Dana White goes on the offense and pulls out a dirty trick that boxing can’t reciprocate… It’s a brilliant move in trying to gain more exposure and PPV buys for UFC 103 as they go head to head with the self proclaimed “PPV King”. But all of this didn’t have to happen.

Floyd and Golden Boy Promotions knew that the UFC had the September 19th date scheduled. But, in an egotistical move, Floyd and Golden Boy Promotions decided to take on the UFC and reschedule their boxing match for the same day.

"The powers that be wanted to steer him off that date. But he wanted that date, so it's on! The boxing guys are so stupid and small minded." …Dana White from an appearance on ESPN 1100 Cofield and Cokin show.

"We had that date, and everyone asked them to go off that date but for some reason they like to fight with us."… Dana White speaking with Yahoo’s Cagewriter

    ………………………………………………..

UFC’s President, Dana White, sizes up the competition:

“Listen, I don't think anyone's crazy about the September [Mayweather] fight”… Dana White speaking with Yahoo’s Cagewriter

“Floyd doesn't sell. Floyd plus another great fighter sells. You need two good fighters that people really want to see. It's not a fight people want to see." … Dana White from an appearance on ESPN 1100 Cofield and Cokin show.

    ………………………………………………..

Despite Dana White’s low opinions of Mayweather and his upcoming fight, the UFC is doing everything they can to win this showdown. In addition to airing the UFC 103 undercard on television, the UFC has also scheduled “Fight Night 19” and season 10 of the highly anticipated “Ultimate Fighter” just 3 days before UFC 103.

That’s two shows, the debut of Kimbo Slice, and a televised undercard all in an effort to boost the UFC 103 ratings. Dana White wasn’t kidding when he said “it’s on”….

As I see it, Floyd can dance for only so long before the UFC “ground and pounds” him.

:good I don't care what race you are... if you're a boxing fan then a cotto-pacquiao fight is a must see fight. I'm not worried about the undercard cuz a lot of the fans are just there to see the main event anyways.

That's Arum's trademark and has been using it for a LONG time with everyone he promotes. Only newbies and haters like Lance_Uppercut and other dumb****s actually believed a tomato can like Margarito is really "feared" by the big boys.

Another VERY popular one was the way he used that for Hearns before fighting Leonard when Leonard and co. wanted to wait on the fight a bit so it can get bigger/better.

David Diaz was rank # 3 lightweight when pac beat his azz:lol: anyways props to jmm for beating juan diaz but the casamayor fight is overrated. Pac haters are quick to point out diaz is whack etc etc... even though david diaz KO santa cruz. Santa Cruz who gave casamayor an ass whooping only to be robbed of a W:lol:

And how did he prove his self above 135?, by ACTUALLY FIGHTING THERE, right?

Who was the one to give Pacman a shot only to be insulted by dumb****s like you for not fighting Margarito instead?, DLH, right?

So in order to PROVE YOURSELF up there you NEED TO FIGHT, right?, does Mayweather know how Marquez could perform up there?, did DLH know how Pac could perform up there?

Go back to praising Margarito for calling out fighters at lower weights, that was the only thing you are good for here.
