May-Mosley will outsell Pac-Clottey by over 1 million PPV buys

i believe pac/cotto did around 1.25....floyd/jmm did around 1 mil

pac fans claim he is as big of a draw as floyd....they also claim he fought cotto instead of shane because cotto was more money/bigger draw than shane......so well see if the money man doesnt do better numbers than pac/cotto

shane is a name...but he isnt a draw...never was.....shane was as dominant as anyone at 135....hes been in big fights with big names....yet he doesnt sell....the reason....he doesnt have "it" factor....floyd does....

1. No it would not. Floyd has outsold Pacquiao with every common opponent by a significant margin. How would Pacquiao outsell Floyd by a million when Pacquiao barely cracked a million against De La Hoya and Cotto (1.25 mil)? That would mean, based on Pacquiao's past against big draws (De La Hoya at 1.25 mil compared to Floyd at 2.4 mil with Oscar), Floyd would, somehow, come in under 250k? No. Pacquiao should be happy just to crack a million, because he will never outsell Floyd by a million.

Based on what? Floyd has outsold Pacquiao on every common opponent they've faced by a large margin.

 

600k is probably about right for Pacquiao vs. Clottey, but I think Floyd vs. Mosley will crack 2 mil.

Mosley vs. Margarito wasn't Pay-Per-View, but they set an attendance record at the Staples Centre, I believe.

 

1.25 mil for Pacquiao vs. Cotto, 1 mil for Floyd vs. Marquez, I believe. Check my numbers, I'm doing it from memory.

 

Well, it really comes down to drug testing. Everyone knows the two will make +25 mil each if they fight, and based on that I could see them still agreeing to 50/50, so long as Pacquiao agreed to be adequately drug tested. I see what you're saying, though, and that's a very real possibility. Why should Floyd split 50/50 if he just outsold Pacquiao by well over a million? I hope they don't open up the financial split, though, and just leave it even. I just want them to fight.

 

Take a look around the Home Depot Center when he fought Mayorga and had to carry the card. It was half empty.

Anyways compare this fight to Pac-Cotto, which ever one sells the most is the bigger draw.

 

im betting it would outsell by over 500K but not 1M.
