I would put it this way: Mosley vs Pac would sell more PPV than Floyd vs Clottey.

Who gives a **** which PPV sells more?
I'm more concerned about the entertainment of the fight.

**** all this number worshiping. You guys forget we're watching boxing?

No, we're on a forum discussing boxing. Like it or not, boxing is a business. If there was no money, there would be no fights. As such, the business aspect of it is every bit as real as the gloves and ring.

I guess you`re talking only about the states, remember it`s a big world and across the globe Pac man is a huge star and Mayweather is almost unknown except to boxing fans and most of them hate him for being a tactless moron. Across the globe tens of millions will watch the Pac fight.

Mayweather-Mosley should definately outsell the Pacquiao fight. There's been an incredibly small amout of promotion for Pacquiao's fight, the Mayweather-Mosley fight will be promoted a lot more and Floyd will be going out on his own doing the extra promotional things.

Unofficial numbers, or, "people who watch but don't pay" don't enter into negotiations.

Yes it`s different, it`s only the states and UK that have PPV on a regular basis, but in europe it will carried by channels that you have to pay for, so I guess that counts?

Two well-known fighters will always outsell one well-known fighter vs. an unknown. Simply logic.

So you go to movies to join in on the wealth they will create?
You eat food thinking about which restaurant you want to support?

You buy clothes with the intentions of checking if the stocks went up at banana republic afterward???

You create this online culture of number checkers and dollar counters who attribute some boxers ability to his PPV audience.

Pretty soon skill will be out the window and the first guy who can talk better than he can box will be cherry picking his way to 5 million buys and 10 sponsorships while fighting no one.
