I know, I'm sorry. But Pac's next opponent is a credible topic and we probably just got a hint.

It was announced by Steve Kim today that the new MGM Arena was holding a date for Mayweather's return for April 9th... which is the date that Pacquiao coincidentally is announced to return on.

Also, a while back, Pacquiao told reporters that he and Mayweather were negotiating for a rematch. Arum was questioned about it and called it all BS and probably a mistranslation.

Perhaps the one saying the BS was Arum.

Pacquiao JUST released a video on Facebook updating fans about his next opponent. He says he is in negotiations for a rematch with Mayweather.

"I don't know about my next opponent. We're still negotiating right now about the rematch with Floyd Mayweather, so hoping for that."

So, is Mayweather and Pacquiao negotiating as it was reported a few weeks back?

And it's clear to me that Pac doesn't give two f's regarding Crawford or Khan. He wants Mayweather and only Mayweather. I'd say Floyd feels the same as well which is hilariously ironic considering their feelings for each other a few years ago.

Most important thing about it is 95% of PPV buyers were pleased with the fight card. Very few ,mostly Mayweather addicts, complained. When was the last Mayweather PPV liked as much???? LOL never.
I enjoyed the card thought PPV was worth the cost & providing Gennady can persuade a ranked I60 pounder into fighting him, I will willingly buy his next one. This one was a great start

I unblocked you. Make it count.

Not a failure. Not a screaming success. Covered all bases and did just what it needed to do to get everyone paid and continue the GGG push.

In details, I'd say it's not bad considering it's post May/Pac, in between two major ppv fights (Mayweather/Berto and Canelo/Cotto), had relatively unknown fighters without a single american star, competed with two huge sporting events at the same time (USC/Notre Dam and Mets/Cubs), and had little promotional help by HBO.

People need to remember GGG is not a PPV star yet so there is no reason to hold him to the standard of actual PPV stars.

THANK YOU BUFFY, I'M SORRY ABOUT BEFORE PLEASE DONT BLOCK ME AGAIN. Pretty please?

Just out of curiosity though did you predict 300-500k like most GGG fans? And be honest 97k-150k was a disappointing number for you.

95% of the buyers were ****ed off about this atrocious card. Who are you kidding? I've even seen several posters who were hyping this fight up admit to this.

If he doesn't fight Crawford then he should retire.Pac's fights and Pac has become very boring.

No, I went with Loeffler's number. I really didn't know what to except, tbh. My expectations surprisingly dropped the closer it got to the fight. Like, my brother goes to Notre Dame, so when I heard his game was against USC that night... I did feel my stomach sink a bit, lol.

One thing I knew for certain going in was GGG not being mainstream. He's not, he's not. He's getting there, but he's not yet. Only mainstream stars should be on PPV because it's a mainstream ordeal.

I was predicting that they'd make around 9 million bucks, and they made about 7.5-8 million in PPV revenue. Plus, taking into account of the presale record, merchandise record, the gate revenue, and international gross, as WELL as the PPV then they didn't do bad at all. Like it was said, they either met or succeeded in the benchmarks that was placed for GGG. For PPV, that benchmark was met.

Also, 97K was a lie. That's already be straightened out by official, credible reporters who called it "a figment of someone's imagination". No credibility to it at all. The official number is a couple thousand over 150K.

How did they make 7.5-8m in ppv revenue , you do realize the cable company takes half right? So let's say the average is 120k, because Tom Loeffler isn't a credible source he's a known liar. That's 3.6m in ppv buys.
Be honest, you were hugely disappointed in 97k-150k, you were talking about how GGG was breaking records and all this stuff, why can't you be honest with yourself?

Please, nobody wants to deal with this garbage anymore. 5 years of hype and we got a **** fight, I don't see the result changing either, I mean competitively there's absolutely no reason for a rematch (I don't care about some supposed injury, everyone always has an excuse for a loss, he looked fine in the fight) so it'd be purely about the money for Floyd and Manny.

They had their time, I hope Mayweather stays retired, Manny retires after his next fight and I'm really looking forward to boxing without both of these names in it.

It wasn't a **** fight. It was a chess match where the superior boxer proved that he was better.

You're about to get blocked again.

150x60=7.5 million, round it to 8 since it has officially been said to have made a couple thousands above 150.

    So 8 million.

Half goes to cable companies. 4 million.
Half goes to promoters. 4 million.
GGG gets 2 million, Lemieux gets 1.5 million, split everything else up for the undercard. Everyone got paid.

That's just PPV revenue, and doesn't include anything else and it still got everyone paid.

If Loeffler was lying don't you think he'd release a much higher number?

    And GGG was breaking records.

He broke the presale record and merchandise record. That's proof of him being a boxing star. PPV star is different as I've said many, many times.

That's all I'm saying to you regarding this matter. It's not even the topic of this thread.
