May/Pac talks complete - Floyd's approval needed

    It's on yahoo sports and pretty much all major boxing sites . According to Arum, split and drug testing have been agreed on ,the only issue seems to be the date of the fight. Floyd needs to give the ok to fight in November.

    “I think the only question is whether Mayweather is prepared to fight now,” Arum said. “He may say he’s had his fight for the year and that’s it and that we’ll address it again next year. He might say that. I don’t know. I don’t know. But that’s what I’m hypothesizing."

    “The question is whether Mayweather is willing to go into the ring this year. It’s up to him. His people would love him to do it. He may not want to do it. If Mayweather wants to fight in November, I believe the fight will be made. To me it seems – it seems, and say that, because I’m not Mayweather – that the only issue is whether he wants to fight in November.”


    Update:

    According to Konz, the contract is with Floyd to sign, and their giving him a 2 week deadline before they look for another opponent.

    So they agreed on a split? Very curious to see what they agreed to in terms of split of PPV revenue and guaranteed purses.

    Sounds promising I guess. I take it Mayweather supposedly asking for 60-40 split in his favour was from an unreliable source?

    Even if he did, I don't believe he intended to get it. Probably used that to shoot for 55/45 or something close to it. It's all about leverage, although so many claim it's ducking every time.

    I stopped reading right when it said According to Arum. I want according to Richard Schaeffer or according to Leonard Ellebe, or Al Haymon or anyone that is directly in the Floyd Mayweather Chain of command because Bob Arum talks out of both sides of his mouth and lies like it is a neccessity of life for him. Food, water and lies is what Bob Arum runs on.

    I take it back. This is more recycled garbage all sourced from AP and framed in Bob Arum's "throw it all on the other guy" style. Oh well...

    May have just been trying to get into Pacquiao and Arum's head again. Hopefully Arum is telling the truth for once, an we get this bout in November.

    Oh yeah, he's definitely playing mind games. It would be nice if Arum is actually telling the truth for once cause it's not in his character.

    I just hope the fight happens. Obviously Arum wants to make the fight made. Not so sure if pbf feels the same....

    I wonder what will pbf fans say if pbf does not want the fight this year?!?!

    the way mayweather fights...he could fight a month after the mosley fight...why the hell would mayweather want to wait longer..the guy stays in shape year round...JUST FIGHT FLOYD...make ur 30 million or so!
